Miscellaneous / Re: Quick Survey About You and Omnimaga.
« on: November 06, 2013, 04:41:20 pm »
HBJ asked people not to read other's posts
No, I just don't want them read until they have submitted theirs.  That way they aren't swayed by what they read.
Its fine to read them :)
Ah yeah, that's what meant. But would it be a good idea to do a first answer without reading other's posts, then a second pass (in another spoiler if we used spoiler) after reading other's posts to see what we agree with but didn't think about earlier ?

HBJ asked people not to read other's posts, so I didn't read other's posts, but I think it would be easier to avoid reading them if they were spoilered.

So, my answers are in the spoiler below.

Spoiler For Spoiler:
1) I was playing TI-Boy SE (which I downloaded I don't know where, but not on Omnimaga) when my calc crashed. I looked on Google where I could complain get help and arrived here. Then I discovered Axe and stayed.
2) I never think I have similarities with anyone. I mean, I was so often told I was weird that I never try to think about similarities now. Maybe I have, but I don't know.
3) Does that mean "why are you on Omnimaga more often" ? If so, because it is more active than Cemetech and talks more about Axe than TI Planet. But I am often on TI Planet too.
4) I'd just say that we're here to share our hobby with good mood. I don't know if that counts as a goal, but that's how I see it.
5) Depends. Like IRL you'd say. Most are like classmates whom I can speak with seriously or to have a laugh.
6) Yeah, I don't think I'd have found a school that teaches me interesting things if I never discovered the joys of programming with Axe.
7) "Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again." That is not meant to be a joke but I love that error message.

edit now that I read other's answers, there are some things that I agree with but I didn't think about it earlier. Would it be a good idea to mention them too in a second spoiler ?

Spoiler For Spoiler:
3) I also feel like Omnimaga is more friendly than Cemetech. People say it is because Omnimaga has rules against not being nice so it is not a good thing for freedom, but I don't care, I feel better here.

Yeah, I think I read that on Caleb's topic, this is why I didn't fix those graphical problems yet. But for some reason I was convinced that yesterday was the 6th of November lol so I rushed a bit.

Perfect.
You don't even need to have a game behind it, I could look at that menu for hours anyway.

Lol, I got mine in yesterday and I found this morning that some things don't work properly lol. Just minor graphical problems, but still, that is not serious.

To make the pic smaller, use "width=__" in the img tag. Quote my post if you want an example.

Anyway, good luck with your entry, the concept looks promising.

Haha ! Indeed that is quite beautiful.
May I just ask what it would give if the upper part (like first tier) was inverted ?

True, but I said that because I already saw him say 84 without anything behind, and in this topic answers don't work for both the CSE and the non-CSEs (jsTIfied works for both but Wabbitemu doesn't work for the CSE).
So yeah, for that topic it is not important but it would be better to get names right for the future.

@Hayleia this question applies to literally every model you mentioned, as well as all 83+ models. Kind of a moot point.
Well at least you have some Basic working on every 83 model (not all basic progs, but some). But not on 84 calcs due to the CSE. And you can see here someone saying "I have a 84+" even though his profile mentions a 84+CSE, and he is asking for a program, what do you give him ?

A "TI-84" doesn't exist. The 84 is always followed by something, either a "plus" or a "Pocket", sometimes a "SE" or a ".fr", and now "CSE" is possible too.

Sorry to be annoying about that, but there are a lot of incompatibilities. Let alone the CSE, there are 84 calcs that are "blocked" (officially) to MP OSes, others that are not for example.

I just sent mine, if I didn't get the email address wrong. Waiting for the confirmation email.
I hope I'll be second or third, that 83+SE really is awesome and that tee-shirt, well it has Omnimaga on it, can't be wrong, and I already have a CSE.

edit Also, I called that thing OmniBlade lol.
edit 2 Got the email already. Can get some sleep after that rush to the deadline...

Some update on my progress again. The Simon game is working.
Now I need to implement lives, a weapon-upgrade system and link them to the minigames.

and a syringe. :D
You know, you can get faster without using drugs.
* Hayleia runs

Anyway, glad to hear it.
May I ask you how much you paid your Zhanchi ? I got mine for 28€ and I sense it was a bit expensive (but I couldn't do with another way, I wanted to get it in a shop, not on the internet).

Blinking Cursor O.O
Lol, yeah, I didn't know what to put here.

And I would be worrying if this was 15MHz.
Well, you only see the screenshot, but I can tell you it is fast on calc. I was surprised myself when I put it on my 84+SE, it doesn't seem as easy as on the screenshot. Fortunately enemy bullets do no harm for now lol.

Anyways, the game is looking awesome :D
Aside from that it looks real good :)
Thanks :)

Some update on my progress.
Enemies can shoot (but you can't die yet lol).
There will be inverted and non-inverted modes for people who want to see better and people who want to save batteries.
The memory works. I just have to link it to the SHMUP part.

I have to hurry a bit if I want to finish that before the deadline o.o°

Also, to answer Matrefeytontias's question (which he never asked), yes, this is 6MHz.

(And if someone has an idea for a name, I may take it. I'd prefer the name to finish with "blade" for some reason, like SkyBlade, but that name seems to be already taken).

edit yeah, I am not good at that memory game.
edit 2 for curious people, the game is now 3336 bytes large.
