Casio Calculators / Re: [Cemetech Contest #9][Prizm] Zombie Gun
« on: May 12, 2013, 02:56:20 am »
This is always the first thing I notice in a game, and I bother you with it while it is still easy to fix it :P
Do you plan on adding the possibility to play as a girl or will girls have to deal with that guy ? ;)

Other than that, those animations look great indeed :)

You should just be able to assemble it, then. I've gotta go now but if no one's done it by the time i get back i'll assemble it myself. I hadn't seen the topics on Cemetech/TI-Planet, i'll check them out :)
Yeah, seems like all I have to do is double-click the build.bat ... provided I have all the dependencies which seems to be brass and var8x if I understand correctly, but I am not even sure and I am too lazy to find out anyway if all the hassle is to test a breakout game.

You might have to ask PatrickD's permission, though, in case he doesn't want other people to post copies of the game.
Yeah, he didn't even want to post a copy himself so I doubt he'd like others to post copies :P jk

Well I wanted to try it but I don't know where the executable is. The zip is filled with asm, bat, gst and i files.

I disabled OmnomIRC because it lagged too much.
Well just use any IRC client to get the notifications from the bot, no need for OmnomIRC ;)

See why I said on Cemetech that it was better to ask about Axe on Omnimaga ? Because this is where Axe is developped. And this is where you can find the latest updates ;)

And on the contrary, it would be better to ask about DoorsCS on Cemetech for example, but that is not the topic.

So this is what you needed help for ? Well I am glad it turned out well :)
However, there is only one "n" in "Runer112" so you might have to update your readme ;)

What does "120" mean ?
Well, in 1337, LOL becomes 101 which is 5 in binary. Hence LOL! is 5! which is equal to 120. :P
Ok, 39 for the explanation :p

Seems like you like putting numbers instead of words so I put 39 to mean "thank you" because in Japanese 3 is san and 9 is kyu so it gives "san kyu" ;)

(like bumping each wall to see if one in particular doesn't support collisions)
I 120'd at that one.
What does "120" mean ?
Also, maybe you are wondering why it is needed to bump each wall, but there are some strange particular bugs in Pokemon Topaze:
-One trainer in the last Gym teleports you out of the Gym when you beat him. Other trainers don't teleport you.
-One tile in the last cave (iirc) teleports you if you encouter and beat a Pokemon on it. Other tiles don't teleport you (proof in attachement, it is an old version of Pokemon Topaze, where Pokemons were not drawn in battle).
I never found where those bugs came from :P
If you have spare time, I encourage you to try those bugs, they are completely harmless and pretty fun to see ^^

Uh, if I may... The links you posted um, were .broken. (Unfortunately), but if you might have any spare time, could you reupload this or send it to me,(in which i will provide an email or such) Thank you! I hope I'm not bothering you!  ;D
Yeah, you can try Darl181's method in the post above mine, or I can simply attach it to one of my post so that it doesn't get lost. If it wasn't attached, it is because the contest was forbidding it, but now that it is over, I can, so I do it on this post ;)

(just hope I am not attaching an old version :P)

Great ! Can't wait to see finally a true game on this calc :D
Not that I don't like Sord of Atari but this one looks better :P

Good luck with it, and if you need beta testers, I may not have a lot of time to do bug hunting (like bumping each wall to see if one in particular doesn't support collisions) but I still can test quickly if the overall thing works :)

it shall copy to a prog and not to a string
Well his program copied to a program, not a string. But it didn't copy to a program whose name was in an external string.

Avoid double posting within 6 hours. Use the edit button instead.
What exactly do you have in Str4 ? Dou you have just "PROGNAME" in it or do you have "prgmPROGNAME" (where PROGNAME is the name of your program) ?

:length(A)→L
:If GetCalc(J,L-1)→B
:Copy(A,B,L)
:Else

Ok then closing your parentheses should solve the problem. But now, it is the second getcalc that I don't understand. Why is the size of the program you are creating given by the size of the string in str1 ?

Edit: nvm understood. Close all the parentheses and you should be ok

I don't think it is Xeda. I don't recall her eye (on a previous avatar) looking like that.
