Casio Calculators / Re: Calc better than Prizm possible
« on: October 27, 2012, 12:09:57 pm »
Wouldn't that be called a smartphone with a math engine ? :D
Nope. A smartcalc :P

You can take a picture of a parabola, then find a graph that fits it best.
Now I imagine the question at the exam: "find the equation of this parabola" :P

Thank you. So. Very. Much. It works!
Glad to be helpful :)
Also note that the code I provided is not optimized at all, you could routinize the Rect call instead of putting twice the same command.

Also, Hayleia, where did you get that font? I looks awesome; I want it!
It is Spyro's font (you need zStart to use it). I only changed the cursors, all the rest is his work.

(too lazy to create my own topic so I just steal this one :P)

So, I tried to convert the GameBoy rom Tennis and it didn't work. The converter successfully opens the rom and asks me to input a name but when I type "Tennis" and press enter, it says "makeapp stopped working" ???
I tried with drag-and-dropping the rom onto makeapp.exe, with directly lauching makeapp.exe, and with typing "makeapp Tennis.gb Tennis" in the cmd prompt in the right folder, every method give the same error.
(Note that this Tennis rom has a gb extension, not a gbc one)

What's the problem ?

Don't worry about TinyCraft. The project you used to know is dead but mine works well :D
I recycled some of the sprites of the old projects and gave you credits of course ;)

Anyway, glad to see you back :D
get some more peanuts :P

Would you mind posting more of your code ? For now, there is no chance to leave any residue anywhere since there is no DispGraph or DispGraph^r

Is this what you are trying to do ?

If so, the right code (unoptimized) is:
:375->T
:Repeat T=0
:T--
:RectI(76,62-(T*2/15),8,T*2/15)^^r
:.draw the rectangle
:DispGraph^^r
:RectI(76,62-(T*2/15),8,T*2/15)^^r
:.erase the rectangle
:End

TI-Nspire / Re: Chess for Ti-Nspire CX

Of course CPU is a problem ;)

Man, that would suck to have to make a chess AI on a 180MHz ARM processor with native grayscale... ;D

(Btw, as for how good was my AI, SirCmpwn told me that he lost every single game he ever played. And it will beat me every now and then if I make a mistake)
We are not even talking about greyscale but colors since the title mentions the CX ;)
Even though of course the program should run fine with greyscale on non CX Nspires.

And yeah, your AI is pretty hard to beat. I've won some games but sometimes it kills me in less than 10 rounds (because I try to trick it but it gets me in the meantime while I am looking at something else :P).

You can use the TI-Nspire Computer Link Software.
It doesn't need any license and it is lighter and faster than the student software (because designed only for transferring).

Maybe TiLP will work too but I really don't know about this one.

News / Re: nDoom 2.1 adds PWAD support for thousands of games!!!
« on: October 24, 2012, 11:39:19 am »
Would there be a way to make this run with nDoom ?
I downloaded it, but there is no "wad" file inside ???
It runs with gzdoom and needs a doom2 iwad.

Hmmmm? I'll have to check later on tonight. My Psych class starts in five minutes. lkj and Augs thanks for the feedback. I'll have to keep rerunning the script to find the problem.
Don't worry, there is no hurry ;)
I can compile them by hand using the command prompt without automatic scripts anyway. It would just be much more convenient (for me but also for others) to use your script :)

I guess so, according to what I see in the file browser (it is me father who installed this PC so I don't really know, but I guess so since there is a window icon on it)

edit
Augs, I did all of that and it didn't work

Strange... Did you try running it twice? Augs told me it worked for him after a few tries.
Yes, I tried several times.
The first time, it asked me twice to select my video, and opened a cmd each time. Then it said that it worked but produced nothing.
The second time, it only asked me once and opened one cmd, said it worked but still nothing in the Output.
And I don't remember the following ones -.-°
