Wow. Thanks! That's meaningful, considering yours is one of the first AND most famous. ;D
Well it's the most famous because it's the first one ;)
We are like just copies of his game, ours being better or not, he is the real one deserving to be featured on ticalc :)

Well then why not add the support for #Icon() when compiling for Ion ? This way we can make programs that everyone can run (compiled for Ion) and with an Icon in case it's ran through MirageOS or DoorsCS.

TI Z80 / Re: zStart - an app that runs on ram clears

if thepenguin can make a 2-page app, he can make a 3- or 4-page app too right?

What's the point, then? It seems like all it would do is get rid of two physical applications and their menu entries without saving any archive space, which seems like a lot of work for not much benefit. And then things would start getting messy with multiple versions of zStart for people who do and don't want Omnicalc, people who do and don't want Symbolic, etc.
But everyone wants MirageOS libs, no ? It allows to run every single program (except maybe 20).

Hey - can we just cut it out? Am I the only one here who thinks it's pointless?

The site's a work in progress. We all know it. Let's just stop all the "requests" that are on the admins' agenda that is here: http://ourl.ca/roadmap
Well we know it's a work in progress. We are not saying "links don't work", we are saying "fix them for real instead of using a workaround that only fixes a quarter of the problem".

But anyway, you guys know how the whole tiplanet team feels about the IDs issue. No need to repeat us.
Not just the TI Planet team, I am not part of that team and spent a lot more time on Omnimaga than on TI Planet.

If you all stopped blaming Omnimaga/Cemetech admins for all of your problems and started accepting the fact that Omni and Cemetech can be ran the way they want, then maybe the sites would still be partners today.
I don't see where TI Planet accused other website admins to be the cause of their problems (I don't see any problem on TI Planet in fact), but I'd say that TI Planet is not the website that makes the less things, it's the one website that asks for links to be fixed so that programs and topics from Omnimaga can be linked, not the one website saying "there is a tool, just go through every post and convert every link with that".

Well that's the point, I think there might be a possibility for it to support icons, so I am asking whether I am wrong (and I had MirageOS on my calc without knowing it, it can happen -.-) or if that header could be implemented ;)

Thanks for explaining. I just think that the solution "less work for everyone == better" is not the one a website should choose. It should choose "no work for anyone external to the website". But that's just my opinion, maybe everyone else disagrees with me.

TI Z80 / Re: zStart - an app that runs on ram clears

Seing that both are full apps, I doubt the space will be enough to put them into zStart.
They are not full apps, there is always some unused space. That's how Kerm managed to put a lot of apps (like Celtic III, MirageOS, etc) plus new features in 3 pages only (I only think that most features are useless, as opposed to zStart's features).

However, while MirageOS libs seems to me like a very good idea to add to zStart, I personnally don't use Symbolic so I would not see it in zStart. And the only things I use in Omnicalc are fast apps, parentheses assistant, hide finance, and entries menu, and I can live without those (except maybe hide finance) so I would not say that it should be included either, or at least not all of it.

Well I already read it in full several times to be sure I didn't read what you wrote, but I did. You are saying "we will fix links on Omnimaga, and other websites can do it too", and I didn't read "we are going to use a solution on our end that doesn't need anyone doing anything such as url-rewriting as Adriweb said or adding something to new urls to detect old ones and convert them".

General Calculator Help / Re: nLaunch and software reset
« on: March 13, 2014, 10:40:43 am »
Well he said he would install it though nLaunch, so no problem here.

Something that could be done but I don't think there are any programs for it (there are programs that do similar things though, like RootDoc but this one does quite the contrary of what you want, it goes a step upwards instead of downwards) would be to create an empty Documents folder inside the Documents folder, then you set a program at startup that sets the empty Documents folder as the default folder, if you see what I mean. This way, you just have an empty calc until you remove that program from your calc (with the help of a computer) and reboot.

I also thought you could trigger exam mode, but I don't know if teachers will do a stupid wipe, like "delete all" or a full reset via the maintenance menu, so maybe that would be ineffective.

Well Google will probably change it indeed, but what about topics on Cemetech, TI Planet and every other website who linked to Omnimaga ?

TI-Nspire / Re: nvid - Compressed video player for the Nspire
« on: March 13, 2014, 10:15:09 am »
I am personnally too lazy to open a command prompt, and I am too lazy to edit the bat to change the input file and the output file names. What I want is just to drag and drop the file and have an output with the right name.
So I edited the wrapper.bat file and replaced the ".\ffmpeg ..." line with this one (basically, just change the end):
.\ffmpeg.exe -i "%1" -r 24 -vcodec libvpx -vf "scale='if(gt(a,4/3),320,-1)':'if(gt(a,4/3),-1,240)',pad=320:240:(320-in_w)/2:(240-in_h)/2" -f ivf "%1".ivf.tns

I just wanted to share in case other people are as lazy as me, or if you want to put this in your final release :)
With this, you could also rename the wrapper "drag over me.bat" or something.

Yeah, sorry about posting in two topics. I first posted in the other one then thought this one was more appropriate.

Well why not add some junk as you say (that's what I meant with "new folder"), if that allows some redirection to be done and prevents links on every website to be broken_? I think it's better than just fixing posts on Omnimaga and losing Google referencing.

I noticed when using MirageOS (I do that sometimes) that some programs by thepenguin77 have an icon. However, they seem to be compiled for Ion since zStart alone can run them. So could the Ion header used when compiling for Ion accept MirageOS icons ?
