Hey 1000 posts!
Yay ! 24 more for a round number ! It just don't work with normal USB cables.
Yeah, zStart is not the only app to refuse to be sent through USB. I got that problem too with TI-Boy SE (which is a problem considering the size of the apps it produces ). This is why I asked if DieGoldeneEnte used USB or SilverLink, to see if USB is the problem or not.

Wow, I loved that game when I was younger (I feel old because of my own sentence... ). I need to dig my Prizm out of its drawer to try this out at some point. Great job !

Did you try with the USB cable or the SilverLink ? Because I never managed to transfer zStart through USB but it works fine for me with the SilverLink.

That's because the uploading system in the downloads section is broken. Instead of using it, it is advised to attach it to a post then use the url way to link the download to the attachement. Nice game btw I liked Block Dude in monochrome, but in color it gives an all new feel to it

I asked Critor on TI-Planet, he says that it is still possible through a USB/TTL interface to reprogram the Boot2 3.1 via the dock connector (and gain access to Ndless after installing OS 3.1). But if you want more details, don't ask me, ask him

^That. Concretely, Ndless is needed to run Doom, the GameBoyAdvance emulator and to read your converted pdfs on your calculator, among other things.

Nice menu! I have to agree this is pretty cool. Yup, it's a rad menu you have here! Thanks I just tried this now and very good job! My suggestion, though, would be to add an option to prevent you from looping through the screen or make it so that it takes a while for your bullets to refill, else I just stop moving for 0.1 second or so then I can shoot another horde of bullets again while looping and rarely ever stopping.
Well if you couldn't loop through the screen, it would be very hard to avoid bullets That would also make the sprite routine I wrote useless, and I spent time on it But I agree about the bullets thing, you have to stop but you can don't have to stop for a while. I think I'll change that into "you have to change your direction before being able to fire again". You'll still be able to quickly change direction twice, but it is already harder to do Also I can't access the menu in previous screenshots. When I am on the title screen, it goes directly to the game
Yeah, that menu is a post-contest update. Same for the graphical lolwats there were in the HUD, they are still here in the contest version and are only fixed in the version I attached to my previous post.

Every news post about the 3.6 says the same thing : it blocks everything (Ndless and what it gives, nLaunch, downgrading) and since TI provided a lot of effort in that, they didn't improve anything else that much. So, not worth downloading and conflicts (like big conflict) with good (like very good) software.
This except if you have 3.2.4 and J-hardware revision. In that case, you don't have Ndless and such so you may think "I don't care". But it is still not advised to upgrade because of the lack of useful new features and because even if downgrading is impossible on both OSes, it is still more possible with 3.2.4 (due to it having less protections).
Also, if you have 3.1 (or a 3.2 that is not 3.2.4), there's the possibility to install 3.6 without screwing everything up, and also to install a switching pack that would allow you to switch between 3.1 and 3.6 without needing a computer. But you won't manage that with the usual way of upgrading, you need to follow precise steps.

Decently powerful setups can run Dolphin, allowing for the entire Nintendo line aside from the 3DS and Wii U.
Yeah, my laptop does. It only lags on Sand Ocean in F-Zero but all other tracks run fine (or at least, all tracks I unlocked ). I prefer playing wii games on my wii with RGB video instead of crappy emulation with sync issues and composite video.
Emulation is not crappy. It even allows you to play with 1920x1080 resolution (except if your computer lags too much). Wow, cool setup ! I'm personally gonna set up some emus on my multipurpose warmachine and use a PS3 controller.
Just out of curiosity, what's in your "warmachine" ?
I7 3770k, 16GB RAM, AMD7970.
Yeah, yours is a bit better than my laptop: i7 4700MQ, 8GB RAM (can be extended to 32 but useless for now), GeForce GTX 780M.

Question: Is this supposed to be solved using shell scripts only?
Yes. I did this using sed, a stream editor. echo "1574-114687-415" | sed s/.*-// will replace everything at the beginning of a string that has a - at the end with nothing, and continue on in this way. It returns everything which doesn't have a - after it.
Thanks, that works great

First of all, what does "last part" mean ? It means "all characters after some special character". For example, if that character is "-", then the "last part" of "1574-114687-415" is "415" and the "last part" of "jg7e;f,k-e" is "e".
So, yeah, how do I extract the "last part" of a string (you can provide examples with the "-") ?
edit that's surely not informative, but I am using Ubuntu 13.04

For more info about 2-byte tokens, see that topic for example.
