@ DJ You bet!
@ jsj795 For the most part, pieces move the same way. There are different abilities, but I think that a game similar to chess is a little easier to balance. This is because you don't build any new units (you start with a complete set) and you have time to think about your moves rather than having to make a split-second decision. Plus, you see almost EVERYTHING that your opponent is doing.

Okay, bug crunching is going well so far. Just to let you know, .8xp files rather than typed source code makes things easier for me

True, I'll take care of that. However, I did say that people would need "space" and "theta"

That would be nice to see a SAD spinoff of Chess. I hope you finish this one.
So do I. Actually, part of the reason I want to do it is that even though it will remind you of chess, gameplay is quite different, not least because you need different strategies depending on what race you play as

Any chance that you're testing this on a real calculator? If so, there may be a big problem with my code
By the way, your font is 8 pixels wide, so it will only work with e^(

Chess and checkers themselves would be pretty simple with correlation....you just need 4 sprites for each unit, White on White, White on Black, Black on White and Black on Black, or perhaps just two and some Asm to do text color inversion.
True enough, but we're talking about 54 different sprites. What I mean is, there's two sides, each with about 9 different sprites, and two colors for each side.

I know, I know, I keep laying off Correlation projects. So this time I came up with an idea that I know will be simple. This will be an S.A.D. turn-based strategy game, but not like a typical RTS turn-based game. Rather, Calsiah will make you think of chess and checkers, especially considering that it's played on an 16x8 "gameboard" The game will have the Human, Ptaloid and Tosonian Races, each with their respective strategies of all around, strength in numbers and power overwhelming. I have no intention of adding an AI, sadly, but the game will allow link play or 2-on-1 calc play. I'll have some concept art up when I can. Wish me luck as I hope not to give up yet another project 0_0

I'll get to this as soon as I can. But you use ClrDraw to clear the screen. I think I'll make ClrDraw faster in the final build.

When I had my font archived, it says invalid font, unarchiving it works.
Hmm, I think that I know what's wrong. Can I have your source programs please, including the font? Just a reminder to everyone...if you can send me your work, I can fix bugs faster

Things happen, everyone. Remember when Correlation Beta was supposed to be released in January? Axe Parser is the best it can be because of the time and effort put into it! Thanks for Axe Parser, Quigibo, and thanks for the news article, yunhua98!

One thing nice to see is the analog stick. It should make many games a lot easier.
If Nintendo had had me on their team, the first Nintendo DS would have had the analog stick

* DJ_O hopes this doesn't mean Hot Dog is done with calc stuff afterward
Don't worry. Part of my reasoning is I want to get back to S.A.D. With all the new stuff I have to worry about, Correlific Mode would take longer than I hoped and make the waiting time even longer.

I fixed a bug with abs( where Str0-Str9 would not work properly. There was also a bug where Pause and Disp didn't work with abs( and temporary strings.

Hmm...that's interesting, because I had the same problem with Disp abs("12345,2,3
But the bug is fixed. I will upload a new file very shortly under the topic "Correlation Beta Builds." For al testers, please go to "Correlation Beta Builds" to pick up versions of Correlation with bug fixes.
Also, attached below is the source code for those who want it. (Use the same password.) I apologize that it could be more organized and have more comments.
