Correlation / Re: Correlation Progress
« on: March 11, 2011, 03:58:40 am »
Part of the reason that Correlation is not available yet for beta testing is I am making sure that few bugs exist when testing begins.  To that point, I am always creating new test programs to play with.  So here's another screenshot demonstrating animated tiles.

Source:
------------------

int("TESTFOUR
det({4,2,1,1,3})  ;We have one animation with 4 frames, one with 2, two
;non-animated images, and one animation with 3 frames

int("AY
int("M0
int("E0
Lbl AA
e^(0,0,Str0
int("DD
For(N,1,300
End
Goto AA

Yeah I am curious about that. Maybe the devourer focus will be more on large units than the corruptor and the corruptor will be changed  a bit?

Anyways, I certainly think they'll make a comeback in single player mode.  And I'm Mickey Mouse if I don't use them

Does corruptors slows down enemy attacks? Also if I remember, devourers were very slow at attacking.

Devourers are slow at attacking, but the acid spores allowed mutalisks to attack with up to 18, 12 and 10 damage on their glave worms, as well as giving hydralisks up to 19 damage.  Corruptors themselves increase damage output by corruption.  So it seems like devourers and corruptors would share roles, except corruptors can take out capital ships themselves.  Devourers are more of a support unit.  Still, thanks to corruptors, I have not needed devourers

Okay, so why use corruptors if devourers come into play

ASM / Re: Getting around the 8000 limit without using apps
« on: March 11, 2011, 12:11:15 am »
That's actually not bad.  However, copying 8000 bytes of code takes about 1/35 of a second, so there would be lags from time to time

Incidentally, I did not know that the SDK used to cost money, even though I knew that some applications did cost money

Ah ok. Personally there was the rude side that didn't, but the other side where it's obviously annoying to get asked the same thing over and over despite the fact you wanted the tutorial that way. It was kinda like in 2004-05 when people kept bugging me non-stop asking "Why don't you learn ASM" and later "Why don't you use BasicBuilder?". In the ASM case it almost became harrassment.

Good point.

Whatever the case, I really do appreciate it when you give me +1 whevenever you think about it ;D

I'm happy to see archived fonts are now possible. ;D Is the speed difference noticeable or is it negligible like xLIB? (1-ish% slowdown)

I'm pretty sure you won't tell the difference in speed.

Well to be honest I negated one of the vote, since I felt it was kinda rude, especially if someone never asked before and is new, but I don't feel it deserves under +1 so if it was 0 I would probably have uprated it.

Actually, I didnt' feel that it even deserved +1

1104
Nope, it's not.  Keep em coming!

1105
Yeah, you're right, and that one's weird because I usually test my programs

1106
Also, the page numbers are kinda off.  It should say page 37 in the TOC, but it only says 36.

Thanks for pointing that out, because I did ask people to find typos like that :D

Hey, Nemo, do you have the source code for the GUI version of the font compiler?  I have a couple of changes I need to make

1108
A thank you goes to graphmastur for his suggestion on "font collections."  You can read about font collections in the new manual,

http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=6843.0;attach=6397

but I'm letting everyone know that now that these are finished (no screenshot, sorry), the beta period is all the more closer

Miscellaneous / Re: How many incomplete projects?

I'm at least glad to see all these projects on the list, for the fact it means they're not dead.

DJ, I couldn't have said it better myself :D

You can now access archived fonts.  In this screenshot, pgrmTESTTWOT is the font that the example program uses.  You can, of course, see that it is archived ;D
