Miscellaneous / Even Russians get rickrolled sometimes!
« on: October 02, 2012, 11:20:38 am »
Russians enjoy American pop music.  So I was going through a grocery store in Russia, and I heard the song "Never gonna let you down" playing.  Ironic, because I was disappointed that the store didn't have any cream of mushroom soup or anything similar

By the way, things are going well for me.  You can read more about my trip in Russia here:  russiaatlast.blogspot.com.  Just be aware, there's some religious content

Gaming Discussion / Re: Has anyone been beta-testing Heart of the Swarm?
« on: September 18, 2012, 07:43:24 am »
I'm not able to play the beta either, but I saw some gameplay videos and heard some great things!  Actually, because of the amount of time it takes for me to be a teacher here in Russia, I'm only going to have time to play on the campaign, so I'll probably use a guest pass and cheat code my way through the storyline.

Miscellaneous / Hot_Dog is back!
« on: August 02, 2012, 07:50:07 pm »
Hello, all!

I am sorry for my long disappearance, but I am feeling a lot better now.  (http://ourl.ca/16030)

I know that there's a lot to catch up on!  I am getting ready for Russia, so it may be anywhere from 1 hour to 3 days between, but I'll definitely be posting again.  Once I'm in Russia, I think things will be much smoother.  In the meantime, here I am!  :D

Miscellaneous / Going to be silent for a while

Hello all,

Something has happened -- I don't want to tell what it is, but it's given me a serious blow, and I'm very depressed.  I don't know how long I'll be away, but I need recuperation.

Please do not worry too much about me.  I know that I'll be back on this site sometime in the future.

Thank you all

EDIT: I promise that the situation has nothing to do with anyone on the website.  You all have been wonderful to me

Correlation / Re: Correlation Resumed At a Slower Pace
« on: May 01, 2012, 10:38:30 am »
Okay, I've put Correlation off long enough.  My goal is to work on it again, but it's going to be much simpler.  Basically, I'm taking what I already have and fixing the bruises.  Here are the things that Correlation will now have:

* Fonts are strictly homescreen, 16x16 or 8x8 (You can still convert an old TI-Basic game to use Correlation!)
* Word Wrap (Though I'm not going to baby it up like I did last time)
* Map Mode / Clip Mode / Wrap Mode
* Abs( for substrings
* Collections of fonts
* Animated Text
* Compatability with Xlib / Celtic III / Doors / etc.

ACaglino, I just thought of something...with screen-by-screen rendering, do we want the side-to-side scrolling method?  It's a fun idea, but I wonder if it will get annoying on calculators

Earthbound Zero (The Prequel to Earthbound), except I don't know if it's available as a cartridge.  The japanese version, which is, is called Mother.

Super Mario.  This movie is in Japanese, but a fluent Japenese speaker made English subtitles!

Here's part 1 on youtube (all the parts are there, I just didn't want to post all the links)
