As always, good luck DJ. You have our best wishes, and we will be glad when you feel you are able to take on an administrative position again.

Looking at Deep's code it doesn't look very hard, but only tomorrow, sorry :S
It's not needed until January anyways

@DeepThought The 3 things you mentioned as "a couple of problems" are absolutely fine. Please don't try to fix them. And thanks! @ScoutDavid If you are able to make a GUI, that would be awesome. Feel free to look here for a suggested GUI. http://ourl.ca/7900/141527EDIT: I couldn't see the .java file. It was there for a moment, then it was gone

Yeah, just ignore the height * width.

Yep, it's stored from the bottom up, padded to multiples of 4, correct? That's right! Oh, okay. What's the $30, $00 before the sprite data in your example program for?
That's no longer needed. It was the height times the width of each character ( 6*8 ), but I have no use for it in my program now. It's basically "dead code" By the way, I really don't remember what I had *255 and *0 for, because I left my source code at college. Do you know if it's needed for a .8xp program? (The bitmap data in the example program takes 16 bytes) I have a feeling that those two bytes could be removed.

I have a version of #2 pretty much done, except that I don't really understand what the program's supposed to look like...
Where do I put the actual sprite data for the font?
And the third "** The size of the .8xp program" is supposed to be "** The size of the .8xp program minus 2", right? Just checking Deep Thought, I had no idea you were working on this! Thanks a lot! To answer your questions, the bitmap data goes before the last *255. (Do you understand the format of a monochrome bitmap, by the way? Because monochrome bitmaps are weird--they display everything backwards, and with unnecessary extra bytes.) Also, you are right about the third "size of program" line...it should be the size of the program minus 2. One more thing: the *5 should be *6 instead

One of many projects I must revive.
No worries, revived after a long time is better than permanently dead * HotDog wishes Starcraft Ghost wasn't dead

Use the "easy harmonics" plug-in. Select the notes that are perfect fourths and then run this plugin to turn the top note into a harmonic note

I've been looking, and I think it should work, but how do you change the notehead to be diamond? I can place a diamond above a note with the articulation tool, but I can't figure out how to make the actual notehead a diamond.
Does Allegro have plugins?

Hmm, diamond?... Normally they are written as circles... Or a diamond shaped note when playing false harmonics to denote which is the harmonic... And not just perfect fourths, also string octaves =P (Also, are you writing both notes in the false harmonics?)
Hmmmm...interesting, I thought octaves were only used for natural harmonics

I do have Human Playback! I'll go check it out...
EDIT: Hmm....It was already checked...maybe I'm doing something else wrong. The little diamond symbol above the note is used to denote harmonics, right?
Also, make sure Human Playback style is set to "Standard" instead of "None." That was always one of my problems. Yes, the little diamond above the note is used to denote harmonics. Just make sure that the diamond note is a PERFECT FOURTH above your desired note.

I don't know if there's a way to do it in Allegro. But if you have Human Playback in Finale Allegro, see if there's a "Human Playback Custom Style dialog box" where you can check the checkbox entitled "String Harmonics"

Aah ok. Just one thing, though, especially since it's an utility to help programmers: try to not make the readme excessively long. A lot of people are turned away by Celtic III readme because it's too long and they use xLIB readme instead. Some people prefer larger readmes, though, so it's a good idea to maybe include two versions. Some people just get lost when they see a wall of text. X.x
Rather than a read-me, it's like a "For dummies" book, in pdf. However, if people find it too long during the testing period, I will take your advice and include a quick readme. Like Axe, though, the concept requires a lot of "how to do" rules, and thuse more documentation is required

I'll be doing the rest of my in-house testing/coding next January. I have been working on the Correlation Manual, and I plan to have it released before the end of the month. Those of you hoping to test Correlation might want to read through the manual when it's released
