I r confus. Explain your spasm, sir.
You understand addresses, I'm assuming. With axe, you can copy a whole bunch of bytes from one address to another. For instance, axes allows you to have a picture stored inside of an application variable, and then copy the picture to the buffer from the application variable. In the same way, you can save a picture to an application variable.

I hope it is 20 KB or 20000 bytes. hehehe Agh, thanks for correcting me. Can't wait to see some real action in the screenies. (epic ships battle, please) Sure thing. But...sigh...that won't happen for a while

Quick progress update. The app now takes 4 pages, and uses approximately 20000 KB of user RAM, although the finished program will use much less RAM. As I said before, if you want to run alpha versions on a hard calculator rather than an emulator, be prepared to spare the space. I am now optimizing, and then the next screenshot/download will incorporate ships!

Uploading to google code can help, if you know how to use a repository. Unless we have 1,000,000 hurricanes hit the United States, it's not very likely Google is going to lose your backups.

As many of you know, I started a series of ASM Tutorials for those who had difficulty learning ASM. So far, these tutorials have been met with great success, with some of the lessons being downloaded over 60 times in the past two months! And its all because of your support, your guidance, and your encouragement. I wish to thank you all, because as a result, I am all the more eager now to finish what I have begun, as well as continuing to make these lessons as fun, as simple, and as high in quality as I have done so far. Look forward to lesson 13, and possibly lesson 14, next week. And thanks again for helping to make this project the best it can be. The download link includes, for your convience, the first twelve files, as well as WabbitEmu, spasm and the proper ti83plus.inc Download link copy (as attachments won't show up on front page): http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=3355.0;attach=1397Separate files for each lessons, also available in .doc and HTML format, can be found here: http://ourl.ca/4673Link to the tutorial discussion forum: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=95.0

LD BC, ______ ; _____ is the length of your string in characters, INCLUDING the zero at the end
I'll try, but you mean I load the number in BC that contains the number of characters +1? So "Hello World!" would be LD BC, 13 ?
Yes, that's correct.

I don't know how to fix the sprite problem, but try this for your string:
LD HL, $0006 LD (CurRow), HL LD HL, Sometext LD DE, OP1 LD BC, ______ ; _____ is the length of your string in characters, INCLUDING the zero at the end LDIR LD HL, OP1 b_call _PutS
I really have no idea what this will do for your app, but it fixed all my string problems for my app

Character: Zhas
Race: Ptaloid Age: 457 Height: 5'11'' Weight: 251 pounds Characteristics not seen in this image: Yellow color, walks with a cane
Zhas is the direct son of the being Dzhanus, and the leader of the Ptaloids. Although he does not hold an official position among humans, he is a major factor in the ESEO's decisions, as well as the keystone holding the Ptaloids and the humans together. As a result of the Tosonian War, he has spent more and more time away from his homeworld to work and live among human.
Because Zhas has a gift to remember everthing he has ever learned and experienced, he possesses great wisdom and military knowledge, and is greatly respected by everyone for this. Because of this, he has great difficulty assuring the inhabitants of Earth that he wants to be treated as a friend--or a father image around children--rather than a god. His numerous attempts to change the way he is viewed have ended in failures. This attempts include, but are not limted to, social events with adults, offering dating advice to teenagers, playing with children, and makng friendships with outcasts and random people. Though he is constantly continuing to live such a life among humans, he never lets it interfer with his military work and his leadership position amongst the Ptaloids.
World War IV left Zhas slightly crippled. Collin's law to bring aid to the Ptaloids has left his injury completely painless, and he is also able to walk with the help of a cane. The cane he uses was a gift to him from Megan and Hope, and he never goes anywhere without it. Using whatever knowledge the Tosonians had left, the couple designed the cane so that Zhas could store some of his memories, allowing him to see them rather than just visualize them. Although this was most important to Zhas in allowing him to relive his pleasent moments, it has proven to be a valuable asset for others, both when Zhas wanted to help his human friends see their mistakes and when the ESEO needed to review their battles during the Tosonian War.

Will there be a lesson covering the differences between Apps and Programs? I think this would be useful in your guide.
Yes, Appendix A will talk about this

Isnt it supposed to be 'Trekker'? Some of the nuts might go crazy .
Both, actually. Some use the term 'trekker', others use 'trekkie'. Here's an added question: What's your favorite episode? I'd have to say mine is "Sacrifice of Angels" http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/6JztAWYsVOQ/

Any trekkie fans? After your vote, you can feel free to explain why you chose what you voted. My favorite series is Deep Space Nine, because of the cast, the crew diversity, and the darker/continuous story line.

Btw, even if I do not have plans to learn ASM in the future, since I am fine with what TI-BASIC/xLIB can do for certain games and Axe for others, I still plan to check your stuff for some references, to know how some stuff work and possibly creating my own small ASM routines for games or other stuff Chances are, most of the routines you need have been made by someone else. The lessons will give excellent tips on how to incorporate these.

Leaving the readers in expectation by saying that direct key input exists w/o saying anything else... How cruel of you.
I know ztrumpet is "going to kill me" if I decide not to write Appendix C I should probably say whilst I remember, the number of lessons is more realistically less than 40. I figured I should not throw in the kitchen sink, as there are references for people who need them. (I'm programming in ASM with only 60% of what 28 Days taught). There will, however, be seven appendixes:

I don't understand why they suddently decided to declassify Pluto as a planet in the first place, anyway
Hard to believe that it wasn't that long ago when they did it...when I was writing the draft of the storyline, Pluto was still a planet.
