Btw Scout, you're learning ASM as fast as I was, so give yourself a pat on the back.

News / Re: Crabcake for Axe« on: May 19, 2011, 10:29:54 am »Hot_Dog, why do you need the AxesOff? Couldn't you do something similar to what I do with the app header where you call the main program as a subroutine. Something like this: Because I didn't think about that. It certainly would have saved me--and programmers--a lot of trouble. I'll definitely have to fix that... In the meantime, it works quite well, so I'll wait until after the contest and post an "update". Every calculator programmer releases something better and easier after a time, so I don't see a reason to "rush" the update. 768

You can now use Crabcake to turn Axe programs into ASM programs that will run at more than 8KB. You will need to compile your Axe program under a shell such as Ion.
If you want only Crabcake for Axe, you can get it here: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7373.0;attach=7891 However, I made some important fixes to the original Crabcake, so you can get the whole kitten-kaboodle here: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;sa=downfile&id=665 You are allowed to use this axiom for the axe contest. However, it requires a lot of program space, so don't use it unless you know for sure that your ASM program will need more than 8KBs. 771

For me:
ret = "retire" ldir = "L-Director" res = "res" nop = "n-o-p" ld = "l-d" rst = "rest" or "reset" 773

Make sure that register A is not changed by the time your subroutine ends. Otherwise you should save your value for A

ASM / Re: about hooks..« on: May 17, 2011, 08:28:15 pm »
Well, what you're talking about is a "token" hook. (There are many different kinds of hooks.) You would have to pick a token to CHANGE to csc(. Unfortunately you cannot create your own token.
So I can only give you a semi-detailed explination, since I do not know what token you would want to change to csc(. You take the value of the token you want to change, multiply it by 2, and put the value in DE. HL should point to the location in RAM that the zero-terminated (I think) name of your token is located at. http://wikiti.brandonw.net/index.php?title=83Plus:Hooks:9BC8 776

We all know that specialized resturants with no chains have the best pizza. But please keep discussion limited to pizza chains.

I like pizza. So like many people in America, I tried food from different pizza chains to see if there was any food I would order from the company a second time. Here's my opinions (and thus you may hear me shoving down pizza-shops you enjoy), but please discuss in this topic as well!
Papa Murphy's: My favorite pizza hands-down. You have to bake it, but that's part of what keeps prices cheap(er) and reasonable. You get what you pay for--a rich pizza that makes your mouth water. And nothing beats a Papa-Murphy's Chicken Garlic Gormuet Pizza Papa John's: Okay, so this pizza is quite delicious. When they say quality, they mean it. But over the years, the prices have become completely overcharged. Gone was the day when there was a "buy one, get one free" coupon. I enjoyed the pizza while it lasted, but now I just can't afford it. Pizza Hut: I enjoy the personal pizzas, which you can't get anywhere else. Sometimes I want a pizza but there's only one night I can eat it since there's no refrigerator, and the personal pizza does the trick. However, the pizza itself is nothing out of the ordinary in my opinion, and I don't like stuffed crust pizza. Little Ceasers: My second favorite pizza. And what deals you get! Good pizza for extremely reasonable prices. You can't beat Hot-and-Ready for $5 with anything except Papa Murphy's. I haven't had the chance to try their wings yet, but I want to...I'm a huge wing fan, and $.50 a wing is always a good deal for me. Domino's: My favorite pizza crust, because it has its own buttery-flavor in it. But although the prices are reasonable, the pizza is like pizza hut--nothing out of the ordinary in my opinion. Godfather's: I only liked it for its all-you-can-eat pizza buffet. |
