Ok, this is a 2nd attempt on my first map.
The background transitions are a bit smoother on this one.
So that the tree's white background is no longer disturbing with the gray of the other environment.
Tell me what you think ;)

(The inverted tile is still because of my map editor)

yes, you can't write to the archive... you should unarchive anything you want to edit, and then archive it again, or copy it to RAM, edit it, and overwrite the existing filename, which will be handled by the OS.

Not saying I don't like it tho.
Its a very cool effect, it just isn't intended for a B/W screen. (Neither is grayscale, but still)

But to be honest, it doesn't seem very safe.
I will not test it on my calc until I have a confirmation that it will be absolutely of no harm, since this screen still isn't intended for blue.

Just found 1 bug. It seems impossible to Copy( anything with the archive as destination (Y1 for example).
It gives the error file misuse.

Well,I prefer lives, because I need the entire 96x8 for other UI actions as well, such as current item, rupees and blah blah blah.
So a screenwide health bar is out of question

Ok, im working on the game client now, but I need some UI thingies.
I'm going to have a bottom UI, (so 96x8), and I need some icons.
-Heart (health mostly)
-Rupee (currency)
-Sword

I might be updating this post as I recieve sprites/need more sprites.

Im trying to avoid area's with lots of animated tiles while mapping. But still, its faster than redrawing every frame.

With animations im not redrawing the entire map.
I have this special routine ready that only updates the animated tiles each frame.
