General Calculator Help / Splut transfer failing
« on: October 02, 2010, 05:04:49 pm »
Ok, I've had this email from someone trying to install splut, but it seems to give an error.

Quote

Hello, I wan't to send your game Splut on my TI-84+
with TI-Connect but it doesn't work... For TI-Connect the program name is
"Splut_(C)__(C)__(C)_" and it say it's a error name.

(Sorry for miss but I'm
french...)

He downloaded it from ticalc, and I was wondering if any1 can reproduce it.

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Bug Reports
« on: October 02, 2010, 06:48:49 am »
Just found a little keydetection bug.
(At least, on apps)
When you press a key, and you close the app, it remembers the key.
For example in splut, if you open the settings screen (by pressing MODE), it opens the mode menu (the TIOS one) upon closing Splut.

Ah, I see.
Then im wondering, why are there so many people requesting basic for the nSpire?

But at what speed does it function?
More ASM-like or does it still slack like basic?

It would be nice if someone wrote something like TI-83+ BASIC for the Nspire and/or Axe, so Nspire dev have a wider audience than just C and ASM programmers. BBC Basic would be nice, too, as long as the editor is user-friendly.
Wait, the nSpire codes in C?
If so, ima go buy one!

Ofcourse, you have to be careful with every hardware edit/upgrade you make.

Aren't integrated GPU usually lower performance than most others and unsupported by most games? Maybe I am wrong. It might be nice that he is not stuck playing games from 2005 or before on it either.

True, but with the proper drivers you could make a hack-ish simulated video card.
On my main comp (with some sick specs), I still use the integrated one. (Basically, because I do not need a specialized video card)
-Intel Core i7 980x (6cores + 6 virtual)
-24gb RAM (204-pin SODIMM DDR3, 6 x 4gb)
-256GB SSD - Samsung Solid State Drive
Do I need to say more?

Btw, what would be a valid location for me to upload xlib Splut?
Just make another download in the puzzle/section? Or post it here?

Lol, only just found out Its also posted here.
Anyway, the only known bug (splut duplication) only ruins the win/loss screen a bit.
Shouldn't take that long to fix.
Edit: 123th post

That last laptop is overpriced, you could get an i5 for that price. I wouldn't worry about the gpu that much.
Just rely on your default/motherboard onboard one.
The RAM seems fair, but I would upgrade it to 2x 4 asap.
