There are several ways to score an entry that are generally used: 1) size in chars of source code 2) number of bytes in source code And finally 3) output size in bytes of final compiled program. I think that the host should have a choice as to what scoring method to use.
I don't think number 3 is a good idea, since some languages have distinct advantages over others in binary size.
Yeah, #3 sounds like a bad idea (unless it's assembly language).

I think we should also have rules so counting bytes is consistent between challenge creators, like, convert newlines to UNIX style (you can do that in Notepad++ for you Windows users, one newline is one byte) and no ending newline (substract one for you Linux users I guess).
I agree

I tried updating my kernel, and it seemed to boot fine, but the keyboard wasn't working. Also, is there an IRC channel for nspire linux? If not, one should be created, eg. #nspire-linux

So far, yes, I just wanted to see how it looked on the wrist.
But I've started looking around in WatchKit, too... so maybe some day the iPhone app will "broadcast" the screen to the watch. Or even get to compile the emu for the watch itself (btu I doubt it, that would require Qt to be ported there, and there's pretty much no way that happens )
Evidently, it would be just for fun, considering the screen size, though.
Yeah, broadcasting the screen seems like the best way to do it, you could have the screen on your wrist and the keypad on the phone.

I'm going to leave this here... https://i.imgur.com/rmDhXBI.png (One day, maybe, when/if it ready...)
Is that just a photo being displayed on the watch?

@JamesNewman To answer your original question, download the TI Nspire Computer Link Software or TiLP and use one of those pieces of software to send the .tns files to your Nspire.
Oh yeah, I guess I never actually answered the original question, oops...

I downloaded this a few days ago and it's amazing, but I had no idea that it's still an open project! However, I think I downloaded the latest version but Jigglypuff and Meta Knight seem unable to do anything except moving and jumping around, and Falco has no moves that do damage except his Dash Attack (Laser goes through everything inluding Shine). Is that how it's supposed to be or am I doing something wrong?
The game isn't finished yet.

I have 3.9.1.38 but I'll be updating it to 4.0 DON'T DO IT! If you update to 4.0 you won't be able to install Ndless and get all the fun programs, like linux, emulators, and python. 4.0 doesn't really have any new features, aside from blocking Ndless. With OS 3.9, you can either install Ndless (not recommended because you need a computer to reinstall whenever the calc reboots.) or downgrade to 3.6 (recommended). The extra features in 3.9 and 4.0 (which are few) aren't worth not having Ndless, or having to use a computer to reinstall it.

This is a silly question but I can't figure out how to install apps on the Nspire CX CAS. I've got the .tns files. How do I transfer and install them on the calculator? Thanks in advance for the help!
What kind of app? C or Lua? What OS version do you have?

Are you using a 3D library, or did you make your own 3D engine?

So would updating from the old kernel to the new dtb kernel be as simple as swapping out kernels and adding the dtb part to the .ll2 script?

Would it be possible to port MAME? It should be able to run at least some arcade cabinets, pac-man was only a z80 running at 3.072 MHz
