**PROJECT UPDATE** I've made a bit of progress on the graphics engine, as well as the FoRK File and Scripting formats. I haven't had the time to work on it too hard (senior project & college & work sucking up too much time), but it's still progress. I'm almost ready to start making up some sprites (which isn't a good thing, 'cause I CANNOT DRAW!).
Project Todo List (in order): 1.) Debug/Fine-tune/optimize graphics engine 2.) Optimize sound engine 3.) Code a parser for the FoRKScript Language 4.) Sprites/Tiles/backgrounds Design (ugh) - "The Art Part" 5.) Put it all together, fine-tune, & optimize

Here's an idea:
Design a new calc, but nix the z8->pop in an old Pentium Processor (P1-P4) would work great) and update the OS to support 32-bit instructions. Then, you could update the OS to support your 3D graphics (with an Allegro or OpenGL port or something), add in your FAT32 filesystem, and have better hardware/peripheral suooprt. That way, you can port ALMOST ALL 8086 ASM games (aka DOS games) to your calc, have a mem-mapped display, (for buffered screen output). There's so many more 8086 asm programmers out there that games would be popping up so fast, we wouldn't be able to keep up with them!

**UPDATE** New addition: XConfig Class Wrapper. Basically, it's a C++ class that allows for easy usage of configuration files (*.ini) in Windows applications. So far, it only lets your read in numbers, but I'm planning on adding string support soon...

Ok, so it's like xlib then? Interesting...

Everything else is C, but it's a mess it could be optimized so much too...

Meh. I have a really good sense of syntax, so it's pretty easy fro me to understand most languages. But the layout of all of it isn't what I'd call user-friendly, so I'm not gonna use it (just write my own).
@Kerm: I didn't mean to give you guys a bad rep, but there's a reason that I don't post over there, and that is it. I'm not saying that it it is everyone @ Cemetech, just a few members (who will remain unnamed for politeness) who have not-so-professional/polite attitude towards newbies like me. I do, however, apologize for any offenses I may have created. Please don't take it personally.

It's easier to write them in C. Go here for more info: http://ps2dev.org/

Hey everyone! Here's the skinny: I'm looking for a good z80 programmer who can throw together a nice ASM sample for me. Nothing too complicated (basics really), but I haven't had a chance to start studying the z80 (it's hard switching from 8086 ASM! ). Basically, I'm looking into (possibly) integrating a customized version of TIGCC into the assembly IDE I've been working on, that will allow for ANSI C programming for the TI8x series calcs. I'm downloading the source for TIGCC right now, but I need a good sample file that I can use to make my modifications/optimizations to it. Anywho, if you're interested in helping me out, PM me and I'll give you the code specs that I need Thanks all

More news: I've been told that I am getting exactly what I want for X-Mas, because it's cheap and practical: a PCI card for my compy that will let me plug my guitar/bass/whatever in and record it! Yay!
And I'm getting an 8-channel mixer board, so that'll be nice too...

**NOTE: There is a bug in it (that I'm too careless to fix), that makes it almost impossible to beat. I've won once, purely by luck.
