THE POST 13561254 It is difficult be cause that isn't how grayscale displaying works. the second method would still need a masked sprite but it would be generated when the sprite is displayed instead of already being there that is the only difference.

Well the 89 already has a gameboy emulator so a port would be unneeded. but the 83+ has the same clock speed the main issue with a port is most gameboy roms were between 256kb and 2mb so It might not fit or at least be very big(SE calcs have 1.5mb of memory), also the game boy has built in sprite routines and a memory mapped display which the ti 8-84 do not have. an 86-85 port would be the easiest to do but It still would be a pain.

THE POST 13551313 yeah That will most likely be how I do it The main issue sould be the sprite routines so if those are finnished and I have a way to test them I can get to work on that.

I am thinking about starting to write a few songs and I was wondering what you guys use to write yours. It will most likely be Rock with some techno undertones. I am hopping for a free music generator with some good percussion support so I can write my own drum beats and such but anything free would work. If you guys can give me links to what you use that would be helpful. :woship: :music:

THE POST 13550595 OK I have figured out what I can do for this project I will port it to the 86. I am in the middle of porting another game (asteroids ) so I figured that would be the area I could help the most in so once you have sections of code that are completed I can work on changing them to work with the 86, I should only need to change sprite display code and the gray scale interrupt code.

True but I still feel you can't top the classics Like The Beatles Billy Joel, Zepplin, Flyod, ect.

QuoteBegin-Netham45+1 Dec, 2007, 0:16--> QUOTE (Netham45 @ 1 Dec, 2007, 0:16) | hmm, imo, Techno and Classical music are vaugely comparable. Also, I have not listened to a single album in these lists. o.o I'll have to try some.
For Classic Rock(what I listen to) I'd have to go with(these are songs):- Beatles -- Let it Be
- Aerosmith -- Dream On
- Supertramp -- The Logical Song
- Styx -- Mr. Roboto
- Dire Straits -- Ride Across the River
