TI-BASIC / Re: Typing TI-BASIC/AXE in TokenIDE
« on: February 09, 2012, 06:10:22 am »
Anyway, TokenIDE hasn't been updated for a while, and there's that guide I wrote for TokenIDE commands for beginners a few months ago. http://ourl.ca/11203/212954
Also I am happy that I have been able to contribute to some of the changes such as option for Live Update in the Token's right side panel.

Also, I'll be deleting the spoiler stuff from my sig soon.
Or should I make it even longer? ;D

Other Calculators / Re: Merthsoft?
« on: February 09, 2012, 06:03:07 am »
The website merthsoft.com still shows the website (fedora?) administration page.
merthsoft.calcg.org (his original domain) is the place to get TokenIDE.

Miscellaneous / Cleverbot - The Computer that Talks like a Human
« on: February 09, 2012, 05:48:05 am »
EDIT: This has been merged with the existing Cleverbot Topic

Hi All,
This site was told to me by one of my irl friends last year. Cleverbot is an AI, but not just any ordinary AI. Accessible at http://www.cleverbot.com  , Cleverbot differs from other AIs in that it responds to your questions by taking from a database it collects of all previous human responses it has received. In this way you can have a very interesting conversation of sorts.
By far my favourite routine with Cleverbot is this (or something similar):

You: Good.
Cleverbot: Very Good.
You: Very Very Good.
Cleverbot: Very Very Very Good.
You: Very Very Very Very Good.
etc.
You can follow this up with something like "Bad" and see how it responds!

Also it passes the Turing Test, a test of how 'human' an AI is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleverbot

All in all a very interesting, and somewhat creepy AI. Who knows what'll be possible in the future...

Well I guess this topic has achieved significant progress. There are just a few songs and other technical things to sort out.

TI 68K / Re: Tamagotchi 89
« on: February 09, 2012, 05:37:01 am »
The v5.5? Yeah. However I heard the v6 (which was available when I purchased the v5.5 btw but for an extra $10 AUD) is even more different. It focuses on music and your tamagotchis pursue some sort of music career. Anyway, I don't really know how to get v1 cuz it's almost like a classic toy and will be hard to find.
There have been some Tamagotchi games made before but none like the graphical one you're attempting:

Art / Re: All art made by me!!!!!!!!!!
« on: February 09, 2012, 05:26:28 am »
Wow this is a great collection of art. I tried to use GIMP a few years ago but it was a bit too complex, I use Paint.NET Regularly. However I know GIMP and Paint.NET are used for different purposes tho there is some overlap.

Damn slow screen on my TI-nspire Clickpad. There goes TI and releases 4 more nspire versions that make my model obslete.

Err. Just to revive this thread a bit. It does seem a bit of a big ask to add a Chinese board, but it wouldn't be so hard to add an #omnimaga-cn channel. We already have many extra channels it wouldn't be that much of an ask to add it. Then if people are using this channel, we can see if a Chinese board is needed.

Personally, I am of Chinese background, though I was born in Australia and am not native speaking. I have learnt both Traditional and Simplified, however I am learning Simplified atm. 我的意见好吗?

News / Re: Subscribe to Omnimaga on Youtube!
« on: February 09, 2012, 05:03:12 am »
Ah, Hmm, i thought the subscribe feature for youtube channels/users was there for a while because I have gotten emails every time DJ_O uploads a video, however they did change the site design more recently.
Anyway the within omnimaga subscribe feature sounds even better!

True, true and petrol prices aren't set to fall anytime soon...
But here in Australia the need for a car is greater I guess.

No driving licence either, even though we're old enough to get one. (No worries my mom don't have one either.) The city bus service is pretty nice, actually.
Interesting. I was already meant to get my Learners a year ago and I still haven't.
But the public transport here on the Gold Coast is terrible. The light rail will make it better somewhat.

TI-Nspire / Re: RPG Style Health Bars for the TI-nspire!!!
« on: February 08, 2012, 05:48:36 am »
And it is quite finished too.
However I have not posted it on ticalc.org. In fact I have not logged into it for months and months. Last time I uploaded something was March 2011
No way! This topic couldn't have been just number 4412 back then! So many topics 12500+ now!

I still have not done this again! I'll see what I can do.
Also I didn't realise I sounded so noobish back then.
