Computer Usage and Setup Help / Re: Windows 8! Problems....
« on: October 19, 2011, 03:22:30 pm »
I still haven't installed it because I haven't been bothered either getting a DVD disk to burn it on, or get a 8GB usb and transfer it onto that. But one of my friends has it installed and it looks quite nice.

Just in case anybody hasn't noticed. My site is now located at http://eeems.omnimaga.org
I noticed that when I was browsing the member list the other day and hovered over the link on ppl's sites. It looked like there wasn't much there at the moment.

I remember there used to be somewhere some chat and video streams a while back

There's just too much stuff that has happened for me to do it right now. Not sure when I'll do it though.

I was going to post about updating the dj.omnimaga.org zip files for DJ_O's music, such as actually having the Album Art Track Numbers and Filenames all cleared up, but I had discussed with DJ_O before:

18 October 2011
[02:58:37] <+OmnomIRC> (O)<Jonius7> ill listen 2 ur songs
[02:58:50] <+DJ_O> including the one that makes you lose the game?
[02:59:04] <+OmnomIRC> (O)<Jonius7> lol the three songs that i downloaded today
[02:59:06] <+DJ_O> dont worry tho it has no lyrics involving that :P
[02:59:11] <+OmnomIRC> (O)<Jonius7> also we need to update dj.omnimaga.org
[02:59:11] <+DJ_O> cya now
[02:59:22] <+OmnomIRC> (O)<Jonius7> cya
[02:59:26] <+DJ_O> yeah but i wont cuz it takes too much bandwidth to do so everytime
[02:59:39] <+DJ_O> i mean having tio reupload a 500 MB zip file everytime I make a song
[03:00:01] <+OmnomIRC> (O)<Jonius7> i could help
[03:00:11] <+DJ_O> Canadian ISPs are forced to have bandwidth caps on internet plans
[03:00:31] <+DJ_O> plus I dont want to use all of Juju's bandwidth from his VPS

Humour and Jokes / Re: Save IE6!
« on: October 19, 2011, 08:27:25 am »
Our only hope for IE6 is to turn to China. China still has >50% users of IE6. We must encourage people to own pirated copies of Windows XP and be negligent in Windows Update in order to resurrect this dying beast. SAVE IE6!

Casio Calculators / Re: Getting started in Casio-Basic? You can ask here.
« on: October 19, 2011, 08:20:36 am »
There is an additional square bracket at the beginning that is necessary.  In Jonius7's example it would start like [[0,0,0,1][0,0 ...
Also, pokemonrules9 do you know about the variables theta and r?  It took me a while to realize I could use them in programs and having those additional two can be useful.
Oh yes, i've forgotten about that. I've forgotten quite a lot of casio basic i once knew.
The way I learned Casio BASIC was to look at other people's games. I would download the cat file for 9850 and  open it in a word document. the code to type was readable. and i had to type it manually anyway, as i had no link cable. So when I typed Sean Tan's Star Wars game (about 20000 bytes) I managed to reduced it by 4000 bytes or so by using a list instead of a one column matrix.

I really liked the map tool. That was quite unique, the ability to copy and paste the sprites while viewing the whole map

Darn it would have been cool if you went to China last year during Summer and met Deep Thought. He went there too. I think Jhgenius did too, but his Summer is during Fall/Winter due to being in Southern Hemisphere...

Anyway have fun, can't wait for your return and take some pics of stuff if it's allowed there :D
I am reviving an old thread (oh well) but I did go to Shanghai, China during september/october: spring for me, autumn/fall for ppl in the northern hemisphere

This looks very nice. Any chance of a moving screenshot to see it in action?
EDIT: nvm I've created a screenshot myself using CalcCapture:

I don't know why the grey of the squares don't show up

I used to program some casio basic so here i can tell you (ps: it was for a 9850, should also work for 9860
eg for a 4x4 matrix: (EDITTED)  [[0,0,0,1][0,0,1,0][0,1,0,0][1,0,0,0]]-> Mat A
would create the matrix:
0 0 0 1
0 0 1 0
0 1 0 0
1 0 0 0
