The following sentences are to be in no way construed as having anything to do with one another: I think we were all trolls when we initially joined, perhaps simply because we didn't know any better. I just noticed that Omnimaga has no Wikipedia page.
That can definitely be said for me when i first joined.

It's because it can take so much time working out how to get past the limitations of that language and it can be frustrating, eg: TI-nspire Basic (OS 2.0), and i can feel demotivated after only achieving a mediocre solution by compromising some other cool aspect of the game i was going to create.

They try and stop the hacks the community have created up to os2.1 by enforcing more anti-downgrade protection in their NEW os but what they do is instead recreate a situation like os 2.0.0, where ti-nspire's were bricked. They better release the update soon, because the longer they leave it, the more chaos there will be. So major upgrade (just to catch up with Casio, and force anti-downgrade) = Dead Ti-nspires

this is great eeems! it kind of looks like that live feed of something you showed me last year. It'd be great to have the whole collection of songs in an app.

FAIL AGAIN! They try and block us with anti-downgrade protection, just like in OS 2.1, and FAIL! We get dead calcs. Hope TI is paying compensation to these people.

If the CX won't play third-party Lua files, I have planned to post a news article to start a community-wide boycott of the CX calculator, encouraging people to stick with the Touch/Clickpad, 84+ and Casio Prizm models and link to Cemetech's rant about the CX.
The ti-nspire clickpad with OS 1.0 was the first step against the supposed "corruptness" of the ti-84 and other models (to a lesser extent) such as the ti-89. The ti-nspire touchpad with OS 2.0 was the second step which restricted OS downgrading to prevent progress of the ndless progressing through the OSes The ti-snpire CX blah with OS 3.0 ...they've been planning this for a while, and as news of the calculator community finally hacking into the ti-nspire to the point where all you have to do is run the ndless document in OS 2.0/2.1 (which they originally put out there to stop ndless working on these OSes) to play games such as nDoom... the release of the CX was to once again make the calculator community play catch up again. the step up in version numbering shows this. Hopefully in time we will break this barrier again, and it remains to be seen whether TI just keeps releasing new OSes everytime the calculator community succeeds, or just give up and make development open. So this boycott will at least show TI who has the power here. You release a new OS, we'll hack into it eventually. Or more simply, just don't upgrade.

yeah maths is part of the programming. but a wide range of forums, including general forums means omnimaga isn't just restricted to calc games. you can talk in omnimaga about lots of things.

(Sorry for answering 6 month old topic) IE? Even after IE9 has been released, it is still as bad as ever. Windows 7 Professional 32 Bit Omnimaga works perfectly fine in Mozilla Firefox 4.0 RC, Chrome 10, Opera 11.01, Safari 5, Maxthon 3 and all other competent browsers. On Internet Explorer 9 (which is even worse than the beta), the favicons for nearly all websites don't show up, so a internet explorer logo favicon appears in the addressbar instead. That'll look great for the bookmarks, all with the same IE icon....
PS: Oh never mind. when i started it up with NO-addons, it displayed favicons for nearly every website. didn't work for google or bing. Microsoft, what are you doing...

In most cases, it's better to have a single file, however if it is a major program, maybe up to 8 files are ok if each of them are major sections of the program. If there are levels, I'd prefer to have all levels in 1 file, but this may depend as it could be better if each level had a separate file. It's important to find a balance between 1 program or several programs. (taken from my experience using a Casio CFX-9850)
