Wow everyone! I had just thought of this today! Great to see this topic get some activity. Just need to catch up on reading these posts.
When I have time I'll organise and put everything together the art so it's easier.
Sorry I need to update the spreadsheet and Discography. It's been a long time.

What happened to Casio-Scene and its wiki? O.O

It just vanished completely last week or so it seems. Planet-Casio even pulled the site from their affiliates...
Now I can't remember what my CasioKingdom ID was. If there was one... :(

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Under 50 posts/day??? Yikes!
« on: July 30, 2012, 06:55:15 am »
But I've tried looking for other sites like Omnimaga, but for computer development and I've found none. (Cemetech is closest, but it just feels too hostile (or would volatile be a better word?) for my tastes.)

I'd agree that some responses I got on Cemetech were confusing, and terse at times, no matter how friendly and influential KermM was, he was only part of the picture. And people who are members here on Omnimaga seem to act a bit differently on Cemetech.

But anyway, I had noticed this general posting decline (and looking at the graph now I am pretty startled at the continuing downward trend), earlier in the year when I was really active (March-May 2012).
http://ourl.ca/15770

It got to the point where there were little responses to my many posts at times by others except for DJ_O and sometimes Juju I guess. Maintaining that level of posting is hard and I'm afraid I can no longer afford to do that (at least until next year). But I hope people overall can stay motivated and post and reply on the topics that count.

Minecraft Discussion / Re: Epic7's Minecraft Server

I haven't been on for a while, but I have two player accounts on your server, jhgenius01 and Jonius7 when I decided it would be more convenient.
Haven't done much with both of them, maybe made a wooden plank house or two.

TI-Nspire / Re: Scissors Paper Rock for TI-nspire Basic

Damn old TI-nspires. New CXes allow recharging which would benefit my programming capabilities greatly. Not that I have enough time really.

Good to see progress on this continuing.
@SpiroH, I liked the older skins you provided in your v1.13 preview you gave me many months ago. They fit on my screen. The new ones don't have a NON-CAS TI-nspire version, and they go off my screen (1280x800).
So I wonder why they were changed? The old ones were perfectly fine...

Wow that animated gif maker is surely gonna be a good addition considering Calccapture produces absolutely horrible GIFs. How big are files, though?
Also, lol. The GIFS are fine in CalcCapture, it's that the program is outdated is what I find annoying.

News / Re: Casio-Scene shuts down
« on: July 30, 2012, 04:44:50 am »
I am saddened and shocked overall at such the quick closure of Casio-scene after Casio-Kingdom was transferred over. It was a nice surprise to see my 4year old account on Casio Kingdom restored (one of my oldest forum accounts!!!).
Sean Tan made some great games for the Casio CFX-9850 series (including Star Wars and Kingdom), back when I was active in playing Casio calculator games. However not much has been heard from him in the last few years. Looks like he didn't like the past coming back or something.

EDIT: Just noticed the message at CasioKingdom. The message clearly refers to the actions of Helder7, however I can't help but feel that the website had been hacked itself to display that message as [email protected] doesn't seem like an email from Sean Tan. Could be one of the admins but I won't guess like that.

Spoiler For Message at casiokingdom.org:
Casio Kingdom was hacked by [NAME WITHHELD FOR NOW WHILE I SEEK LEGAL ADVICE]

He redirected our domain to his cloned copy of this website.

He cloned the site by copying all files, messages, usernames, PMs and even passwords

Not only did this asshole have the nerve to forward our domain to his, but he also sent an email newsletter to 8000 members of my website telling them about his new website.

I am seeking legal assistance in bringing this asshole to justice for stealing your data and passwords, contact me at matt [at] matpac [dot] co [dot] uk if you want to know more and were affected by this breach.

Miscellaneous / Re: Internet Map
« on: July 29, 2012, 11:34:33 pm »
It would be very hard to try and track down all the websites on the internet as many are being created everyday. Overall I think this is a great effort, though two things:
1. The colour allocation. How is this determined?
2. The location of each website.
Oh wait, there are some answers when you click about.

Music Showcase / Re: The most relaxing song ever
« on: July 29, 2012, 11:23:43 pm »
I like the overall combination of both parts of the song. Though it is weird to take both the quiet part and loud part together, I guess it still works, as the song reveals whether it really is the most relaxing song ever.

News / Re: Major Restructuring Coming To Omnimaga
« on: July 26, 2012, 04:50:56 am »
I'll still post sporadically from time to time, but it'll be next year (or nov/dec this year) when I'll become more active again. That 400+ posts and 250 in March and April really cost me and was not sustainable as I had been aware all along. So restricting that now and wait until next year.

Anyway, got hopelessly off topic.

EDIT: Sorry I took this whole thing out of context. This is what replying from a mobile phone does, replying from a post on the first page...

It definitely allows room to fit in a dedicated active mod/support staff level, as i personally thought a few months ago (and disscused with people such as DJ_O) that the ARS wasn't really living up to its name and position (half inactive and stuff).
I can't say about now as b4 I was really active on the forums (that came with a price I can no longer afford to pay in my last year of school) but activity and commitment I believe were a good indication of worthiness of a staff position (as well as respecting everyone too :) ).
But now with these changes, I feel like these positions are much more reliable in getting the job done. It is unfortunate however that I won't have much time to see what difference this makes. There's always next year! XD

but it's SpiroH's decision if he wants to publish his code.
For the integration of kArmTI into nspire_emu to be possible, the code of kArmTI needs to be published first, since nspire_emu is to stay open source software ;)

But let's wait for the views of SpiroH, and other stakeholders, on the matter :)
I have raised the problem of the divergence between the open source emulator containing killer features for developers, versus the closed source emulator (based on an outdated version of the open source emulator...) containing killer features for users; let's discuss about it.

However, SpiroH's kArmTI does have a command console option, though I guess that isn't a great substitute for developers. But a semi-user friendly emulator should definitely be there, as a one design with developers in mind isn't going to fit all.

Probably been inactive for a while. It's an ambitious project. Besides there are several similar projects also going on.
PS: Haven't posted much in a few months
