Topic -2066 does sound like it's somewhere at the beginning of Omnimaga, with Omnimaga hiring new staff. http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?topic=-2066

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Please delete my account

Damn it, how about Ashbad asking for his account to be deleted? I saw some posts in which he'd decided to quit and then changed his mind. Then, I couldn't find a more recent topic about him.

His situation was a bit more complex. He eventually was banned for his behavior problems. If his account was deleted, (I'm not sure) it was after he got banned. His account would not have been deleted otherwise.

*edit* accidently hit modify on your above post instead of quote. That's why it says "edited by". Sorry about that.  x.x
Wow I wasn't really aware of that. It seemed like he wanted to leave anyway but he also got permanently banned too.
Yeah, that says the only time accounts get deleted is if you get yourself permanently banned and can play no more part in Omnimaga on that account. For vxl he can still return any time he likes.

News / Re: OS 3.2 blocks Ndless

...In addition, it would be helpful to contact your school board and ask them to replace any math teachers who teach nspire operation when they should be teaching math.  That should give ti a bit of an additude adjustment.
Are you serious? No school board would replace a teacher because of the brand of calculator their class uses, especially because there's little interest in C/ASM programming outside of niche sites like this.

And I thought that the school chooses the brand of calculators for the whole year level, and some teachers actually don't like the choice the school has made. And they also have to teach the class anyway how to use the things. I agree with you Reo.

Well, their attitude regarding Ndless and native programming is indeed very sad.
But don't forget that Lua is being update as well with some nice new features ;) (Of course this does not justify their stance regarding Ndless)

Edit: And math is not boring :P
Yeah I didn't mean Maths is boring, but that the technical mathematical features they handle and add with blocking third-party programs, all official things and stuff.

I think they are scared of pretty much what possibilities we can come up with to compromise their work.
Or they are too dumb/can't be bothered to think about the things they are scared of and just decide to take the easier path: block everything third party.
Or both, most likely.

Wow I am liking the moving equalisations that 'follow' your mouse cursor.
It doesn't really lag that much on Chrome, may try it with other browsers.

TI focusing on blocking ndless is really focusing on the things that don't really count at all. Instead of trying to block third-party applications that extend the functionality of the TI-nspire (and there's no real harm done), they could have used that time to further improve the OS.

I guess that's what TI is for, the boring handling maths stuff these days. The calc community handles the fun stuff, and trying to outmaneuvre TI's OS protection.

Yeah I know. But it's a problem if I don't own a CX. Unfortunately :(

Punctuation (or lack thereof) can kill people, you know.
And plural/singular: (Coder/Coders) too. As here it changes the meaning drastically.
Also this page has stuff about Omnimaga: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=17

Why not just respect his wishes and delete his account?

You must have a Z-score of 0 because you are being mean.
I'm not sure how it is being mean by deleting his account. There is no advantage to deleting his account, except for, if vxl really thinks it, satisfaction that he has removed himself from the calc community. But he may change in a few years time, who knows, so we are technically doing him a favour by keeping his account.

However it says Omnimaga Coder of Tomorrow, so it sounds like you're an actual CoT.
It be much more suitable to put Omnimaga: The Coders of Tomorrow

Lol wut boot2490? I just looked at your signature: You're not a Coder of Tomorrow!
Anyway I thought that Clone would be more respectable than ports, since you're creating your own source code, it's just the idea you're using.  >:(
