I dunno if that would solve the problem. I've used VirtualBox but sparsely and can't remember if it looked seamless enough. It might be possible to emulate an OS full screen and still have the taskbar from your host OS still available. But I think other forums are better in expertise on this. Maybe the VirtualBox forums, specifically for that issue.
Omnimaga SMF URL Syntax Guide Note: currently a work in progress and still missing lots of stuff. Also trying to make it neater and organised.
Omnimaga contains lots of links to many pages, but not all are easy to find. For convenience, sometimes it is quicker to type in the url than to click through several pages to find the link you're looking for. I have memorised some myself, and thought that this list might help you find the pages you find useful, or some hidden pages you hadn't seen before. In this way, you can navigate through Omnimaga faster! In general, think of the Omnimaga URLs as a function and argument format, where http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php is the function, and ? separates the function from the arguments which follow.
Spoiler For Comprehensive List of Possible Omnimaga SMF URL Categories:
The number after the dot indicates which page of the board you want to view. Each page goes up in .50 increments, so 11.300 indicates the 7th page of the 11th board (News Board).
Spoiler For List of Major Boards:
Sorry please stay tuned. A list will be coming later.
The Axe Parser Topic, you can change the topic number (ID) manually to jump to another topic. This can be useful for a thread you check on regularly, you can just type in the topic ID straight into the URL bar.
Similar to the board ID numbers but each page goes up in .15 increments, so 11.2130 indicates the 143rd page of the 1453rd Topic (Axe Parser Topic)
Spoiler For http://omniurl.tk URLs:
Posts are also shortened with an http://omniurl.tk url. This is indicated in OmnomIRC every time someone posts. http://omniurl.tk/12772/233902 The first number is the topic number, the second number is the message number. It is as simple as that!
Necroposting. It'd be good if we didn't have to backtrack to the board of a particular page to view all attachments, but rather have a button of some sort at the top/bottom of a topic page (i.e.: next to the reply/notify/mark unread etc buttons) that did this. EDIT Actually I realised it is easier to type it in manually topic=xxxx.xx;action=topicattach
Yeah what I did is use the view all attachment tool/mod, go to the respective board page. http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=194.0 and click on the attachment icon to the right of the topic name. there you should find the latest version, hidden in some post. PS: It'd be good if you could view attactments from inside the topic directly.
Few other websites/communities go to such an extent to restore the old forums, to the point where it is now located within the same boards! Must be an almost unprecedented move by those who contributed. And the results are for all to see. Well done!
Hmm, even in 2006, the official email was still [email protected] And sorry for necroposting but DJ_O and I were talking about this and I thought it'd be good to catch up on Omnimaga history from 2006. Similar to events in 2008, and 2011.
