TI Z80 / Re: [InDev] jsTIfied, a Javascript TI-83+ Emulator« on: January 25, 2012, 11:31:30 am »I can't wait to see this, Kerm! And for the legal hurdles, you could use a free and open-source ROM?The problem is that fully usable FOSS OSes are pretty much non-existent. WFRNGOS might work, but it might not be very useful to emulate it 123

General Calculator Help / Re: Help Me Please! Major Problem With ti-NSpire CX CAS« on: January 22, 2012, 11:41:16 am »i downloaded some programs. they have tow files! one is a .LUA file and the other is .TNS file. The .tns file is the one you should send to your calculator and run. The .lua file contains source code, but you will most likely not need it unless you want to compile the program. 126
News / Re: SOPA/PIPA blackout« on: January 22, 2012, 02:35:07 am »
The Swedish word sopa is either a verb that means "to sweep" or a noun that means "garbage". Sopa as a noun can also mean a person who is useless, which is probably what Notch translated into "loser". The most common translation I see on the internet is garbage/trash, but the others are also correct.

TiLP should work, but you should uninstall the student software because of driver issues. (It's possible to install both at once, but it's a bit harder.)

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: why is there a black bar on the omnimaga banner?« on: January 16, 2012, 11:01:16 am »a video says you would still be able to bypass it by typing in an ip addressThe DNS block can be avoided using IP addresses, but SOPA does way more than just that. Companies that provide money or advertisements to sites, or in the case of search engines, link to them, can be forced to stop doing so. in portuguese:In Swedish: Sopa means garbage (or sometimes a person who is very bad at something) and pipa means... Well, I'm not completely sure of what it's called in English. Google Translate says pipe, but I'm not sure if that's accurate. 129
News / Re: DJ Omnimaga releases album for sale: Tales of the Knight of the Moon« on: December 31, 2011, 05:48:21 pm »
Heh, I purchased the album about half an hour before the new year hits my timezone in order to get the bonus track (I could theoretically have bought it later, but I wasn't sure that I would have time to do that.) I haven't listened to the downloaded versions of the songs yet, but I listened to them a few times on Bandcamp and they were pretty good!

Casio Calculators / Re: Linux casio calculator transfer program« on: December 29, 2011, 01:18:22 pm »
I don't know any for Casio calculators, sadly. Programs that are made for Windows are certainly not going to work because Windows drivers aren't compatible with Linux at all, not even if Wine is used.

Casio Calculators / Re: Pack all Addins for fx9860 and Prizm« on: December 24, 2011, 03:26:49 am »Hmm interesting. Are you sure you got permission from the authors to share all of them though? Most people usually don't mind, but some people might prefer that their add-ins remains exclusive to their site or the sites they uploaded it on.It includes some of Casio's add-ins, and those can't be redistributed. I haven't checked the licenses of the other programs, but there's probably a few of them that state that the program shouldn't be distributed. 133
The Axe Parser Project / Re: Features Wishlist« on: December 23, 2011, 09:02:31 am »Maybe it is possible if you pars first the first page and then the second page etc. ?The memory that's needed isn't the only problem. Writing multi-page apps in any language requires extra code in the app to deal with page swapping, and the contents of the pages have to be separated by the programmer. The compiler can't do this alone - the programmer has to think about all of this. I believe that changes in how the language works are required, but I'm not sure since I don't have a lot of experience of things like this. Maybe the RAM limit would be a problem during compilation?not possible oncalc Due to RAM limitsThis has nothing to do with Ram limit since Apps are run from Archive. 134

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Features Wishlist« on: December 18, 2011, 03:53:06 pm »But doors can also have a custome Garbage Collection image.....Doors CS uses some clever hacks involving hooks to just be able to skip the confirmation screen and draw an image. Tracking the progress would require somehow knowing what the GC routine is doing while also redrawing the image, which as far as I know simply isn't possible with hooks. |
