- The screen can be cleared using CLEAR and keep all the calculus and stuff we did before accessible by going up;
This works on all 84+(SE)s with 2.53MP, too. Personally, I hate this function. Personally, I think it's okay, but it does have issues like the missing undocumented instructions and no os upgrading. It would be awesome if there was an 8x emulator for the nspire, with 100% compatibiliy and debugging features, though.
Will we be able to put KnightOS there?
If an emulator like that is made, it would be possible and probably not very hard compared to doing it on WabbitEmu or an actual 83+/84+.

I wonder why TI just won't remove it altogether? They don't even sell apps anymore anyway.
It would break compatibility. There are still a few non-TI apps that use this system, actually.

There's something else I wonder about when it comes to noob-friendliness - how simple will it be to find/access the calculation mode? One thing that made the TI-OS good for those who are completely new to calcs was that the homescreen shows up immediately after starting, making the basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and such) very simple to use.

I still use them from time to time when I post a large image that ends up too large in PNG format but looks terrible in GIF format. For pixel art it's not recommended, though, because of the lossy compression. Yeah, that picture is almost like 52353462 levels of gray now...

FloppusMaximus: I believe BrandonW has stated that the Nspire's TI-84+SE compatibility layer simulates 128 K of RAM.
I believe the Nspire only emulates the pages that the OS needs.

I though it was only a 16kb limitation for programs but isn't it possible to fix it in the OS like what was do for xlib ? The 8k code limit is a hardware limitation. The xLib problem was just a software glitch in 2.53MP. edit: ninja'd ;_;

Oh, right, that's good, then, in some ways. On a 83+ when writing to Flash it's possible to accidentally delete the whole certificate and if you lose your OS then that's pretty bad. I think BrandonW has a tool to unbrick your calc if this happens, but I'm not sure if it requires an actual OS to be installed.
If I recall correctly, BrandonWs program exploits a glitch in the boot code to execute code from another calculator. This requires that the boot pages are present. To restore the calculator in a more normal way (resend the OS from TI-Connect), both the certificate and the boot pages have to be present.

Some kind of tech demo would probably be possible to make, but most likely not a full-fledged game.

Humanoid means that it can be either human or something that looks similar to a human (for example elves).

ticalc TEXAS INSTRUMENTS CALCULATORS
prizm is non-Texas, dude.
Yes. That's what he said.
