Miscellaneous / Re: Mini Moral Dillema PART 2!!! -the transaction

The 84+SE is the one that's the best right now, but since the 83+ is so similar, a Prizm might be better, especially since it's going to get much better in the future.

I also do not see any problem with people being alienated into thinking they're noobs or automatically labelled as troll.
So you're willing to discourage all new members? Isn't that what Omnimaga has been trying to avoid all along?
He wanted to say that he didn't saw any member being alienated into thinking they're noobs or automatically labelled as troll... Woah that was the opposite of what he wanted to say. Stupid epic grammar fail.
Oh! That makes much more sense. Sorry if my comment seemed rude...

General Calculator Help / Re: Should I buy a new TI??

Do a full mem clear. Use aboutnam to remove the name from the about screen. Do another full mem clear. Re-install the OS (and get 2.43 if you aren't already using that version). Afterwards, do not install any OS mods.

Hey i have a Problem with the version 3.1.0.392
I have Updated my TI-Nspire cas with touchpad to this Version.
Than i Removed the Boot 2 file with the TNC from the version and applied it again on the cas. My question is  how can i get the old version back because i want to play some games. The version must be 2.1.0.632 right ?
Or does any Emulator work on this new Version?
Sorry for the bad English ;)
Greets Hose
If you have ever installed a version of 3.0.1, 3.0.2 or 3.1.0 without using TNOC, it will be very hard to downgrade to 2.1 or earlier. Installing it again after using TNOC does not help. The only way for you to downgrade now is probably to use RS232, which is tricky.

Argh, typo... I meant 8.1. Or is it possible to create exes in the Lite version of that one too?

Ok, I am going to do this in normal Game Maker 8.0, and not 8.1. See the horrendous watermarks and message that pops up when the game is closed? In GM 8.0 all that comes up is a little message that says "Made in Game Maker" when it's loading.
I thought there was also a restriction that you can't create exes in the Lite version of 8.0?

I don't really see the point of the rating system, so it would be fine to remove it. It might also be a good idea to not ban people unless they've done a lot of bad things (or something very large). The intent of bans is to get rid of troublemakers, which will make other people stay on the forum, but if too many people are banned, there won't be many people left on the forum. The easiest way to avoid bans is to only post when absolutely necessary (for example, only project updates). For some (including me), knowing that I might get banned makes me post less in discussions.

And, I'm a bit afraid of flashing offical v1.19 as I don't know does it flash Boot v1.03 (which has some strict security and needs that special app to replace certificate) or not?
The boot code is never updated by OS updates - in fact, it's supposed to be completely impossible to change any part of it. Also, the 1.03 boot code is only for the 84+(SE).

Lua / Re: luna help compiling programs
« on: September 19, 2011, 01:56:16 am »
Nspire Lua is different from computer Lua, just like TI-BASIC is (very, very) different from computer BASIC. You'll have to rewrite the program to make it compatible.
Nspire Lua and normal Lua are the same language but with different routines. TI-BASIC and normal bBASIC have nothing to do with each other, except for the name. But yes, the program would probably require a rewrite.

There are a few Casio-BASIC games for the fx-9860 that will work, but when it comes to add-ins, I think you've tried all the games there are already.

And Very Easy Game..I couldn't finish it it was too hard interesting :P (tho it's easier than the original, the original gave you only two years to react while this gives you three)
No. The unexpected change of the time limit will leave most players confused for at least 1½ year, which makes it harder to react in time. :P

There's actually a bug in the program that means you have infinite time to press the button :P
Let us not forget though the hidden secret bug that limits the time limit to 140 hours if you are running off battery power  :-\
Yeah... I used that bug for optimization. :P

Yes, ecsasme is a temporary program created by Doors CS. I've seen it show up a few times when a program tried to stop running in an unusual way. I don't understand what this has to do with the BLOD, though...

Yep, but I didn't know any other way to get a good screenshot (other than using a camera again, but that would reduce the image quality a lot).
