The Wii VC version of SMB is not patched - you can access Minus World there. I've done it a few times. Some games have had minor non-gameplay-related patches applied to them (like fixing the spelling of Gannon), but the 3DS versions seem to be identical to the North America versions that were released on Wii VC. (Even if you live in a PAL region. )

Nyan Cat is acting a bit weird on my TI-84+SE. After running it, the amount of free RAM seems to decrease by a few kilobytes, and there doesn't seem to be a way to free up that memory other than a RAM clear.

Yep, if you can compensate for things like the screen and syscalls.

What is a homescreen? (I only use casio calcs)
It basically means that you can only use text - no graphics.

Are the prizm's asm/c similar to fx-9860's?
Yes. It's almost the exact same thing, although you get a bit more power because of the improved processor and screen.

Wouldn't APD only work when the OS is in control, though? I thought that that didn't really happen in Axe programs.
Some BCALLs give control to the OS, for example the BCALLs that that prompt the user to input text.

You can't make apps for Nspires. However, it might be possible to put it in a document.

Juju, I suggest you immediately soupe up your prizm and load Obliterate and GOL now! . Then soupe up your development environment by getting the GCC compiler/toolkit version 0.2.
Don't forget Minesweeper!

Yeah the boot time annoys me. Granted, you can disable hibernation mode so the boot never happens, but then your battery get drained faster while the calc is turned OFF.
On the Prizm there isn't even a boot delay, except you have to configure the calc the first time you turn in ON. The only delay is when turning it OFF, where you see the CASIO logo for about 3 seconds.
I think there's a three second loading time when you turn it on for the first time too, but it's fine since it's not very long.

Contrary to popular belief, the movements for three of the ghost are not random, except for the red one! I think it's on Google somewhere. Try googling "Pathways of the PacMan ghosts"
The red one is actually the one that's the most predictable.

They wrote User Available Memory instead of Memory and listed the 83+ as compatible with the 84+? Man, I'm almost starting to like TI... Now they just need to stop claiming that the Nspires have apps.

I didn't notice anything other than a sudden burst of IRC activity... I do live in another continent, after all.

The requirements for tests are probably more strict that what they want to tell you. If you look at their restrictions (CAS, wireless communication, things that make noise, etc.), those things have been implemented in some calculators. They don't list restrictions that don't apply to any existing calcs since the average user doesn't need to do that. For example, the things that are now called animated flipbooks on the Prizm were originally going to be called movies, but that was apparently not allowed, so Casio had to change it. Making a calc without knowing all of the hidden requirements might be very hard if you want it to be accepted at tests.

Str, Pic and GDB in Axe can only be set to a value when you're creating a program - you can't change the value of them while running the program. You'll need to use a free piece of RAM instead.
