General Calculator Help / Re: MY TI NSPIRE CX CAS - PROBLEMS

When you click there, connect your calc. You should see the contents of your calc and your computer.

There's still Bluetooth and WiFi left, as well as the ability to put the calc in MSD mode... But as far as control goes, we've achieved everything. (Or have we? Is the 83+ boot code unwritable?)

Well, I'm not surprised that Boot code 1.03 is being distributed with the newer calculators, I just didn't expect it so soon. It's not like it *really* matters since we have workarounds though. :)
It's going to cause a lot of problems for those who have 1.03 and want to downgrade to 2.43 and don't know about any exploits... The average calculator user doesn't visit any calculator sites. So TI hinders those who didn't want to do anything bad at all, but we can still install third-party OSes if we want to...

I can't see any problems with those sentences. The one that describes the finish is quite short, but I'm sure it'll be okay, considering how little space there is. There's one thing you might want to change, though - remove the spaces before the ! characters.

My S-1204A 84+SE has 1.00.

So they've started releasing 1.03 on normal calcs now? I'm really starting to hate TI...

General Calculator Help / Re: Ndless keypad problem

As far as I know, the problem isn't that we can't detect what keypad is being used... The problem is that programs created before the touchpad was released can't use the touchpad.

Theres a toll to downgrade from 3.02?
Yes, but the OS must be TNOC'd, otherwise it won't work (since the exploit is in boot2 1.4 and not the OS).

Yes, I understood it, but if you want to try Lua games, you can try the OS 3.0.1
If you use TNOC to modify it, you can go back to OS 2.0.1.
TNOC'd 3.0.2 can downgrade using DowngradeFix (but if it isn't TNOC'd, downgrading is impossible).

I question, though, can't TI change the boot pages in a newer OS?
At first, we all thought that the boot pages couldn't be written to, so I think it's safe to assume that TI doesn't know how to do it. And even if they do change them, we can probably just change them back...

Any word on Nspire 84+ Keypad compatibility?
I think that would be quite hard... Anything that writes directly to flash has to be done in a different way when using the Nspire.

I would prefer a 320x240 screen over a 320x200 one - 320x240 is a very common resolution, and that makes it easy to (for example) port images and programs to it. (Plus, I don't like widescreen :P)
Wi-Fi would be awesome to have, but I'm not sure if it will be allowed on tests if it's built in, even if you can turn it off... Those tests can be quite restricted. For example, one doesn't allow calcs with IR communication even if you block the IR port.
Accessing USB drives (and keyboard/mouse?) from the calc would be nice.

Is the latest version of the Gameboy emulator compatible with the software(s) I have?
Well, that depends on what you mean by the latest version. Are you using calc84maniac's normal version, or Mrakoplaz's patched version?
