All content has now been restored, except for the talk and user pages. I don't have backups of those, but Qwerty might still have them.

Lua / Re: Will Lua erase the need for Ndless?« on: June 11, 2011, 11:10:56 am »Is there currently a version of Ndless 3.0 in the works?http://ndlessly.wordpress.com/ "The upcoming Ndless v3.0, compatible with OS 3.0, is under development, and I was hoping to share an alpha version soon" 453
Casio Calculators / Re: Prizm Wiki« on: June 11, 2011, 06:22:05 am »Yep, the DNS is changing, so your browser won't know where to go for a few hours at the very earliest. I made a mediawiki backup immediately beforehand, so there haven't been any changes.Ah, okay. I guess it'll take a few days before I can access the wiki then, since DNS changes are quite slow here in Sweden... 454

As of now, the wiki seems to be down... I assume this is because it's changing hosting.

Other Calculators / Re: Some things I'm wondering about the TI-84+ keypad« on: June 11, 2011, 02:51:26 am »1. Do I need to use a ti-84+ cable and the TI-84+ software to link my Nspire in 84+ mode to the computer so I can transfer games and stuff?Yes. 2. This keypad will work with Axe games and programming and ASM games and programming, right?Yes, but a few assembly games may not work correctly. 3. If I need to use the 84+ linking stuff, will these items come with the keypad?I believe the USB cables you use for linking are included with the Nspire, but I'm not completely sure. 456
News / Re: MazezaM released« on: June 10, 2011, 09:04:33 am »Well, it has a bit to do with the game: the game doesn't prevent you from turning off the calc.Yep, the game is partly responsible. I'm a bit curious: In what way does it let you turn off the calc? Is it when pressing 2ND+ON while inputting text? 457
News / Re: MazezaM released« on: June 10, 2011, 08:58:55 am »Hey, this game is quite funny: when you turn off your calc during playing, a new prog is created called "ecsasme" (in lowercases). You can't run it from the homescreen but you can archive it (RAM cleared) or run it from DoorsCS if it is unarchived (RAM cleared), or run it from DoorsCS once archived which lead your calc to a freezing state. Hopefully I try all my games on Wabbit. The ecsasme program is created by Doors CS, and has nothing to do with the game. If a game exits in an unexpected way, ecsasme is not properly removed by DCS. 458

Weird, it's there now, in a location that was previously empty. And there are more ads too.

I don't even want to know how horrible the Swedish translation is. First of all, the letter å doesn't exist in the calc's font at all...

Axe / Re: Noob Help« on: June 09, 2011, 12:10:51 pm »Still don't know what's a nibble (I know what's a bit and what's a byte, therefore).A nibble is 4 bits. 462
Axe / Re: Noob Help« on: June 09, 2011, 11:49:06 am »lool. xD. but wait, tilemapping has nothing to do with bits. only with bytes/nibbles.Well, the bits are what make up bytes and nibbles. You could do something like a 1-bit tilemap or 9001-bit tilemap if you want to, but in Axe it would be quite complex (and there wouldn't be much meaning in doing it), so bytes and nibbles are the most commonly used sizes for tiles. 463

Ah. Those probably work just fine with Casio's protocol, but CALCnet is a completely different protocol that isn't supported by either TI or Casio.

News / Re: The Future of Calculators« on: June 09, 2011, 11:13:18 am »Simon has been using the Prizm's 3pin port for a while. But is that direct access to what bits are sent, or just using syscalls to send things that conform to Casio's protocol? 465
Humour and Jokes / Re: 9001 signs you're addicted to calcs and Omni« on: June 09, 2011, 11:11:18 am »Also, what is SAT ?It's a (very large) standardized test in the USA that TI seems to put a lot of emphasis on when it comes to marketing calculators. |
