News / Re: How to crash a TI-Nspire CX in 5 seconds
« on: May 29, 2011, 02:00:04 am »
Again, we do not know if those were fixed in OS 3.0.2, but since people will probably stick to 3.0.1 until they are sure they can downgrade fine, those are potential glitches you might encounter when using your brand new calculator that TI recently started to release.
Downgrading is impossible on the CX anyway... The older OSes aren't supported and since 3.0.1 or higher is pre-installed, we can't TNOC it. (Unless you meant downgrading to 3.0.1 from 3.0.2, but I don't see the point in doing that unless there's some new 3.0.1 exploit that we'll find)

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that.  Can you type out your source code either by hand or with Source Coder so we can see exactly what you're doing, so we can help you?
I think he's trying to store a value to Str1 and then store another value to it later in the program.

Maybe the c/Asm would let us hack those keys
No. Asm/C doesn't give us anything but the public keys, and we already have those. What we need are the private keys, which we can only obtain by running a ridiculously long calculation that might last for years.

TI-Nspire / Re: [nSpire] AutoFoil
« on: May 29, 2011, 01:46:53 am »
Hm. There doesn't seem to be a "[nSpire Apps] Math/Science" app section.
I'll try to get in touch with an admin.
Are you talking about Omnimaga or ticalc.org? Omnimaga is mainly focused on games, so math programs are usually not accepted.

This is proof that Microsoft's products will be as bad in 2020 as now :P

F-Zero 83+ / Re: F-Zero Progress Thread

Maybe calc84maniac could port F-Zero X to the PRIZM next?
fixed ;)
Nspire port would be cool, but finish the z80 version first :P
um... i dont think the N-spire is powerful enough to emulate N-64 XD
There's a large difference between emulating and porting.

Reupload of version 4, because the old file was deleted when Omni was gone.

Nice! I'm probably not going to use it, but it's not distracting so it's fine for me.

Why is it that all forum spambots offer us casinos when we darn well know the chance of winning is like the lottery, slimmer than being hit by lightning 3 times consecutively in the same location.
Well, casinos are easier than The Game :P

I need to get more calcs to compete with you guys. I have just an 84+ SE and an fx-cg10 aka a Prizm. Maybe I should buy one or ten this summer  ;)
I have the same calcs, but I don't plan to buy more.

Casio Calculators / Re: Should I get a Prizm?
« on: May 27, 2011, 12:51:18 pm »
I'd love to be able to send pngs and such to my PRIZM.
There is going to be an image converter soon, so that you can easily turn PNGs (and JPGs and stuff) into a g3p.

-TI nspire with 84 keypad. This has the nspire and the well known 84 included. The 84 is probably the most known TI calc, with the most programs made for it.
The Nspire is actually quite terrible at emulating the 84+. It works well for math, but many games fail to work at all. A normal 84+/84+SE would be better than an Nspire.
I suggest if you buy a color calc, don't buy the NSpire CX -- it only has Lua, and a decently slow implementation at that.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Prizm had Lua support within the next month or two.

I hope you mean Casio has an interpreter, because there's no way I'm going to get a acceptable version of Khavi out that soon :P
We don't know what Casio is going to do yet. My guess is that they will have an OS update sometime in August or possibly July. And this update will include something big.
I don't really see any reason for them to include Lua, and I don't think they're going to add anything large like that this soon... I mean, the Prizm isn't even fully released yet! (Manager PLUS can't be bought, image converter is not available, etc.)

If you get to modern philosophy, you'll end up at philosophy soon anyway.

Will LUA programs made for System 3.0.2 run on 3.0.1?
Yes.
