Qwerty: im basically using 90% of the .png format already, im just adding in a few things to make compression of data of utmost importance, while normal png files are balanced between speed and size. However, good concerns, and thanks Then why not use PNG? Speed is still important, and making a format that's almost like PNG would be pretty unnecessary if we can just use PNG. Also, the prizm's file type can only support up to 3 letters? O.o
Yep.

Well the linking stuff is done from a different software than the student one, which is called the computer link software, but yeah it sucks about compatibility...
I thought they are currently trying to get rid of the Computer Link Software? It's pretty hard to find on TI's website...

Ther next OS for the 84 will probably have downgrade protection and a 4096 bit key
Luckily, downgrade protection is impossible because the boot code can't be changed, and changing the keys is impossible because the boot code can't be changed.

Can someone make a LUA script to make the LCD not suck?
Nope. You can't even draw to 100% of the screen using Lua IIRC.

I don't see a problem in merging the two sections. I mean, we'll still be able to discuss the Prizm like before, it's just going to be in a different section...

Hmm I see. That sucks then. I don't know much about such software, but can it mess up my computer?
Well, kind of. SecuROM is about as secure as the Nspire OS. I don't think they actually used SecuROM, though... It's probably just something similar.

They probably think that we'll install the Student Software anyway since IT'S THE BEST SOFTWARE EVAR AND YOU CAN WORK ON YOUR HOMEWORK AT HOME LIKE YOU DO IN SCHOOL and it doesn't work on linux

What is the difference between these Lua programs and the ones we made? are they signed or something?
They're 0D compressed.

They'll probably update it just to block our new exploits.

On hold because of lack of a calc IIRC.

This looks nice. I had a different Axe sound program on my calc a while ago, but the key mapping was pretty different from this one. Also, I can't find the download link.

And on top of that they did not even get the color screen right.
1) See Yunhua's thread: The screen sometimes glitches
They didn't get the grayscale screen right either - I think Jim said that the glitch is on the normal Nspire too... (Might've been Stefan, though)

this is a great discovery, but it looks this was done with the same tools that we have.
No, it wasn't. Official TI tools were used - tools that work perfectly with 3.0.2.

Would it be more illegal than hosting old TI OSes/softwares for exemple? In what way?
It wouldn't be more illegal, but TI would care much more.
