Yes, you're right. We'll have to be careful. I'm the kind of person who usually doesn't care about legal issues

Is it just me, or did the /scripting directory get taken down? PS- First post
Yes. We have backups of the files, so a mirror might appear soon.

Yep, yet another stupid bug that they didn't bother fixing. Sigh...

That's great. TI fails at blocking once again!
But it's too bad that they seem to have succeeded with the downgrade protection...

I'm surprised at that. It's great that it's available...
Are we sure that the computer software handles files in the same way as the calc?

Yes, but how do we obtain 3.0.1 of the computer software? TI doesn't supply it anymore, and we can't just rehost it - it's commercial software that you need to purchase...

Huh, okay. So the stuff I don't know about is the stuff that TI wants to keep secret...

The anti-downgrade protection is somewhat predictable. They don't want us to downgrade to OS 3.0.1 and brick our calculators: That would mean more expenses for them.
Check this: http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=1109
If this tool is released for free then that could be a light at the end of the tunnel for this OS As promised in the previous link, more information today: http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=1110
I don't understand... In what way is TI involved? And what does "- seul ce qui nous est directement fourni par TI est confidentiel: pour le reste, nous restons entièrement libres d'informer" mean? Google Translate doesn't translate it well.

Prizm + $99 + unrestricted-programming > nSpire CX + $160ish + maximum-security-prison-style-ndless-killing-antiprogramming-whatsoever
But the CX is thin and sleek has a terrible touchpad and is nearly impossible to connect to a computer! (TI is favoring design over functionality, again...)

$99? That's epic. TI is making everything too overpriced...

It also adds encryption so only Lua files from OS 3.0.1 can be ran on 3.0.2, not ones generated by computer tools.
Lua files from TI also work, but I think we expected that.

I've posted about this on TI's Facebook page... Let's see how long time it takes for them to remove it.

It's completely possible. The TI-83 Plus Silver Edition doesn't accept OSes before 1.13, for instance. Same with touchpads and the first clickpad OSes. Earlier OSes just don't take new hardware into account.
Yes, but it doesn't apply if the hardware is the same. I don't think the 84+ Pocket has any new features.
