Yeah TI-Connect is ancient and PNGs weren't popular back in the days, since most people used IE5/6 and IE5/6 had troubles with PNGs.

Nice title screen by the way :D
It doesn't even support sending BMPs unless you convert them :P

Very beautiful, but TI-Connect says, that the data file (lufia.PNG) is not compatible with the connected device (TI-84+). What's wrong?
You need to convert it to a file that's compatible (.8xi). PNGs don't work. I recommend that you load the PNG into SourceCoder to get an 8xi file:

If you use five frames of animation (the default), roughly the time it takes to draw five graphs. It's around 5-7 seconds, I think.

Well, I'm not really sure how he did that, but to use Dyna Graph:

First, type an equation that works. Not all of them work, and I don't know which ones because I suck at math. You can find some that work under "BUILT-IN" (F5). (Try the first one if you're not sure which one you want.) Now, select VAR (F4). You can change settings here if you want to, or just press "DYNA" (F6) to start. It might take a while for it to load - every step of the animation is rendered before the beginning of the animation starts being displayed.

10 poke 54272+rnd(1)*25,rnd(1)*256 : goto 10

Oh god.
What does that do? Screw up memory really bad?

Make sure to completely uninstall TI-Connect and its drivers before installing TiLP.

Graphs can be drawn, but I haven't experiemented with that yet in basic. There is also something called dynamic graphs which are supposed to move or something. Just from the graph menu I was able to get some interesting color effects not normaly availible in basic. Its also relativily fast. Faster than the 83+.  :D

Could you tell me how you did that by the way? I tried in the Dynamic Graphing app and couldn't find out how :/ You should explain step by step and tell me which key to press or something.
Do you need help with getting that specific pattern in Dyna Graph, or just help with using Dyna Graph? It doesn't really look like this pattern was made in Dyna Graph, because I don't think it's supposed to move...

I hope they didn't replace it with a beep... That would sound horrible O.O

I've never ever heard that in music, and I don't want to either.

Casio Calculators / Re: Prizm & compatibility question
« on: May 16, 2011, 02:34:40 pm »
Yes, but the add-in files that were made for older calcs can't just be sent to the Prizm, which was what critor was asking.

Old add-ins are not compatible with the Prizm at all. Only add-ins that have been created and compiled for the Prizm will work.

News / Re: OS 3.0.1 back online... what about 3.0.2?

I've seen that one of the moderators on there has attempted to stop a discussion about flaws of how trig functions were accessed in 3.0, so they're trying to censor the discussions there somewhat, but they're not explicitly deleting anything. They probably don't have to do as much there since it's supposed to be teacher-only.

I thought they were the same thing. Guess not.
OpenOffice and LibreOffice are (almost) the exact same thing. Just imagine that the project changed name when it reached a certain release... Of course, it's a bit trickier than that, but LibreOffice uses the exact same code as OpenOffice - but they've been updating it.

Anyway, people aren't going to download it if they don't link to it. Your average student/teacher doesn't try to guess URLs for a OS that nobody wants :P

There should be a poll on that somewhere.

Linux Mint 11 is taking LibreOffice over OpenOffice by default now
Yeah. Almost every Linux distro that has been updated recently uses LibreOffice, because OpenOffice is pretty much dead.
