It's just random. It can happen on pretty much every website, I think...

Yeah, but at least it won't brick calcs since the OS is installed out of the box.

News / Re: OS 3.0.1 back online... what about 3.0.2?
« on: May 14, 2011, 04:02:53 pm »
Erm, any chance this is a new version that fixes the bugs, but TI forgot to update the version number? Seems like a really bad idea to put it online again.
I wouldn't be surprised if they did that... I mean, they're probably thinking that the old 3.0.1 is completely gone from existence now that it isn't on their website, or maybe they want to hide the fact that a glitchy OS existed...

Other / Re: Logos
« on: May 14, 2011, 03:59:56 pm »
My favorite IE icon is IE 6. It looks more like an icon, unlike the others that use more colors and shading and stuff... Why do companies switch logos so often, anyway?

OmnomIRC Development / Re: Post requirement missing?
« on: May 14, 2011, 03:03:30 pm »
In the future such glitch could have taken us by surprise, if for example a bot posted.
It would surprise me if bots knew how to use an Omnimaga-exclusive feature :P

Trolls, however...

I just hope nobody tries to install it with TNOC.
Without TNOC, you mean?

ben_g, you did absolutely nothing wrong. This thread is about the bug and not about you - I just mentioned you in case someone wanted to look up what happened in the logs :)

I have google chrome, docky, cheese, and i'm getting openoffice.
Try LibreOffice instead. It's pretty much the exact same thing, but with better updates.

Nope, he was clearly using OmnomIRC, and he asked us why he didn't need 40 posts anymore.

ben_g went on OmnomIRC recently, even though he only had 9 posts. Is the post requirement implemented?

General Calculator Help / Re: Calculator headphones
« on: May 14, 2011, 01:04:35 pm »
From what somebody told me, the OS is apparently constantly checking for input from the headphone.  Headphones don't tend to do that sort of thing, so everything just slows down.
Yeah, that's what happens. The developers at TI didn't expect that we were going to insert things other than their calcs...

Does using headphones on your calculator always slow it down to a crawl, or is it just the pair I am using?
It always slows down a lot or seems to freeze when you're running the normal OS. When you're in an Asm program, it doesn't happed.

News / Re: The future of TI-BANK compromised?
« on: May 13, 2011, 01:45:53 am »
Didn't Sony try to send C&D to jailbreaking software makers though?
Yeah, and TI tried to send DMCA notices when we hosted the signing keys. What Sony did was worse, though...
