There has been some discussion in the IRC channel about file formats that could be used for potential shells. Fishbot and I have been working on formats separately for a while. I've started writing down the details of mine on a wiki sub-userpage: http://wiki.prizmwiki.co.cc/wiki/User:JosJuice/File_stuffIf you're wondering how something is supposed to work, or why it is in a specific way, feel free to ask.

It has HD Graphics, unlike the Wii...
I don't think it has over 640x480 (maybe 320x240?) pixels (unless you count every pixel twice due to the 3D... but it wouldn't be HD even then) For example, a lot of NES RPGs are absent from the GBC, and for the GBA the sound quality for many game ports is crappy, not to mention I have yet to see classics such as Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger for the GBA (although CT came out for the DS later).
My main problem with the GBA ports is the reduced screen size, and the ridiculously bright graphics in some games.
Weird I didn't see the bright graphics.
It's only present in a few games. Since the original GBA didn't have a backlight, they made everything too bright instead, making it look terrible on GBAs that have backlight.

Or do they just mean it has CelSheet installed by default, but not other calcs?
Yes.

What do they mean with: Pc software available? Isn't there pc software available for the to 83 plus?
They mean an official emulator or something along those lines, I think.

ANother thing I don't undertstand is why aren't the 68k calc on the back? Probably the ti 84(+) market is doing too good, and the ti-nspire too bad..
They probably don't want to admit that the 68k calcs are more powerful than the Nspire.

Wow, nice! It seems like many Nspire projects are being started by members that are new to the community. Sadly, I can't test this program, because I don't have an Nspire...

Were Colloseum and Gale of Darkness just arena-based RPGs? Or where they full RPGs like the GB series where you could explore maps? I didn't like Pokémon Stadium because you just fought Pokémons and trained, with no dungeon exploration.
It's both overworld and battle, but the Pokémon catching mechanics are a bit different. There are no wild Pokémon, and certain Trainer Pokémon can be captured using the Snag Machine. PersonallY I never got much into Pokémon, though, because of the whole "must shell away money for 2 games for full features" mentality Nintendo had back then. This is the same reason why I never got into Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons. To me it seemed like they tried to make money by making ppl buy an extra game just to get full features on another. Then later they released merged versions of both Pokémon games, such as Yellow, so ppl who bought both Blue and Red just to get all 150 Pokémons only to see Yellow come out afterward must have been pissed. (although I heard in Yellow and other merged Pokémon games it takes much longer to level up)
Yellow and the other "third games" don't have a different leveling curve, but they don't have every Pokémon from the first two versions either. Just like RB, Yellow is missing a few Pokémon that can only be obtained in the other games.

Isn't there a line or rectangle drawing command?

Is that Assembly or Basic? For the looks of it, I'd say Assembly, but I'm curious.
Looks great.
All add-ins are assembly.
Or C/C++/some other compiled language

It's made in C.

There is no way that took 15 minutes to render. There's just... What the heck. Okay, so is this the OS or hardwares' fault? That's actually on the calc, right? Could you show a video of that. Maybe put a camera over it, and host a livestream or something? *shrugs*
It's the OS, no doubt about it. Drawing something like this in asm is probably about as fast as on an 8x calc.
Wow. So, CKOS or what?
EDIT: IE: Casio-Knight OS or what?
What do you mean?
lol, KOS for Casio calcs. As in a new OS instead of the one that comes with the calc.
It would probably take a very long time until it becomes possible to make a third-party OS.
When we blame the OS, we really mean the Basic language. It's definitely possible to do faster stuff without a whole new OS, as we saw on the TI-83+.
The slowdown is part of the OS since the BASIC language is part of the OS, but just like you said, it's possible to fix it without a new OS - but it's still the OS's fault that drawing is slow.
also: I like quote pyramids.
Yeah, they are kinda fun aren't they. So, we need either AXE or KOS for prizm calcs now.
And maybe PrizmSuite too?
Err.. Working on a temporary assembler for Qwerty.55 before I can work on that. And that reminds me. Can anyone please explain how instructions that branch work. I'm interested in calculating the displacements. Qwerty.55 gave me some test code, but I still can't figure out how many bytes back stuff should be. For example, what looks like it should be -6 bytes back is -4, or -5, or stuff like that.
I don't know much about the SH3, but try using PC+2 (or PC-2?) instead of PC when calculating stuff.

Since I do not know much about Casio calculators, I have a little question: can you run assembly on the prism?
Yes, but Casio has not released an SDK, so we're still exploring what's possible to do. Running assembly code has been possible since January this year.
