Alright, two Assassins! (That word is way harder for me to spell than it should be.)

Thanks for the submission! You'll be occupying Jaffar's table slot.

Would you mind any more people?
Nope, not at all! Fire Emblem games are known for their ridiculously large casts. I've still got a long way to go if I want to match FE8 :P

Spell editing is hard.

...dammit, Geekboy, you're making me look bad! :P

Also, I believe JustCause was considering using Lyn as a base for Frey's catgirl, but I could be wrong.
I'm using Lyn's table slot due to her lord status. We can't have Omni's mascot dying. Her promoted animation (Blade Lord) could be something to work with, but Frey prolly has his own ideas about that.

I forget; who's making the catboy/girl class?
Animations? That would be anyone but me. Prolly Geekboy since he has this figured out.

waiting for justcause
This is a bad idea and you should never do it. Ever. Especially not when I'm away from computers.

justcause how were you importing them? by manually breaking his sprite sheet up to match these????
FEditor has a much easier way to do this based on importing 320x240 human-readable images. It's in Blazer's tutorial.

GENERAL NOTICE RE ANIMATION CHANGES:
Repalettes can be done in about 5 minutes. Custom insertions will take much longer. Much, much longer if it's something like our as-yet-unnamed superdark peg knight trio, where we need separate animations for specific members of the class: this requires me to throw the animation into freespace, and I have no idea where my freespace is. Much, much, much much MUCH longer if I have to rewrite the frame structure. In short, if you'd be happy with a repalette, that would save me time. Don't settle, tho.

TL:DR, Geekboy is a god. No more words need be spoken.

np mate...now to actually read tutorials instead of just dicking around with NMM and screwing up my rom xD

Fun fact: 30 percent of FE hacking is spent doing the former. 70 percent is doing the latter.

Seriously, I hack with sound off so I don't hear that goddamned crash beep every four seconds. I have started hearing voices in that beep, and I'm not joking. X_X and Frey had -128 speed for about a week before I figured out I was overwriting something. Your best bet is frequent prayers to the random number goddess (the true meaning of RNG :) ).

I appreciate it, Geekboy. Honestly, my main constraint is time. If I had more regular access to a PC, this would be nearly done by now. That's ROM hacking: sometimes difficult, always time-consuming.

Thanks.

Best of luck. The graphics data should be easy to find, but the Spell Association module for NM is irritating to find and very poorly documented.

Honestly, with all the interest you're showing, you might end up more qualified to do this hack than I am :P

I'll try to get some scans of my map notes up soon. First up, the Prologue: Two-Front War.

Spoiler For the fronts:
Trolls and TI.

I threw some names at you a page or two back, but honestly I don't know whether or not they explain.

The amount of work I'd have to do to reformat the sheets is trivial compared to your learning how to dump. If you really need something to do, just use the FEPlanet sheets and I'll fix it later. Unarmed dodge frames are really the only thing you won't be able to find there, and I can take care of those as well.

Oh, and if you're thinking of doing custom spell animations, don't bother. I have absolutely no idea how to edit those. I'm not even sure where the data is. :)

Well, as long as you don't end up in perpetual rewrite hell, I support this completely. Looking forward to progress -- good luck!

I wish I could help, but I don't have access to a PC or my flash drive right now, and won't for quite some time. Sorry for the inconvenience!

You would not believe what I had to do to get reliable Internet again (cracking WPA, anyone?) but I'm back and better than ever! I missed you guys.

As I write this, I'm sitting at my gate in Indianapolis International Airport, waiting for my flight to depart. Originally, the flight had been scheduled to take off at noon. Naturally, the airline industry can't do anything right, and so it was delayed five and a half hours. Thankfully, I got the news of the delay BEFORE going to Indy (I live in Illinois), so I wasn't stranded at the airport.

Flying as an unaccompanied minor kicks ass. You get to flash your ID everywhere and everyone calls you "sir."

My rents decided I wasn't allowed to take my calculator to Utah. All projects are now halted and will resume upon my return to Illinois. The exception: "Song," the Randomness project, will receive some major story and character work during this time. I'll post my notes upon my return.

They did a piss-poor job searching me, so I probably could have smuggled my calc into Utah, but I have no doubt they'll search me more thoroughly on my return, so it wasn't safe to pack it. Ah well.

(I feel naked without my flash drive.)

I've been sent with an iPod Touch, to update my infinitely paranoid rents on my flight information and such. Upon my arrival in Utah, my relatives have been instructed to take it, so I won't be able to stay in contact, but for now (as well as during my layover in Dallas) I can make posts. If you need to contact me during my hiatus, your best chance is my primary email, fourbillion<REMOVE THIS>[email protected].
