F-zero GX. I saw some gameplay footage and I'm gonna get it. It's not expensive.

I should play some more of my ps2 games. I got so many games for cheap that I haven't played them all yet.

Yeah. There is not really a playable metroid game for the TI84+ (the basic one is sluggish and has a couple of FPS)

I think we need to know more about the CSE's hardware before we can attempt to make games like this one.

You got it from your (rich) family? I got this ASUS core2 duo @1,8GHz laptop for free, but it has all sorts of issues including a 15 minute battery life.

Yep. I hope it would also play well despite the slow lcd.

How about porting this game:

Graphics are scaled up 3x I think, but the movement is still in 1x pixels.

That's not a video game pickup, but close enough. Got an Intel Celeron D 2.66 GHz for only $20. :3
I got a pc with a celeron D in it for free :D

I am sticking with the theme of this project: Keeping everything lightweight, so I can add more features. Simple effects like bouncing off walls only requires a few lines of code, so there you have a new type of AI for like 4 more enemies and bosses.

Just plain black and white walls or even grayscale walls would do just fine.
