I bought pokemon ruby for €0.50 last week. It had no label on it and the battery had to be replaced, but it works.

All sorts of games ranging from text adventures to racing games. I have a commodore 64 emulator installed on it :D
You can even hook it up to the internet with a modem that still has an rs232 port or via your PC.

Thank you. It is a 32bit machine, so it's quite powerful despite it only running at 18Mhz. Back in the days people made games for it that you could buy. There are still some demo versions of those floating around as share/freeware. I might write an atari2600 emulator for it once I get the hang of programming for the EPOC32 OS.

News / Re: The search function is broken, what I do?

That's a better way of dealing with this issue indeed. As long as this search bar is there and it doesn't work even for registred users people will ask the same question over and over. Is it possible to use an SFM plugin that replaces the search with google custom search?

At a fleamarket I bought this little handheld computer called the Psion Series 5. It has backlit 16 level grayscale lcd with resistive touchscreen and a nice little keyboard. The reason why I bought it was that it has an RS232 port and pre-installed terminal emulation software. There is even a code editor on it.
The device is open to modifying the OS. Nothing is locked down as far as I know. I know people managed to install a linux distro on it. Mine still runs an early version of Symbian called EPOC 32 OS.

I think the pocket pc communities have scattered across the web, but recent projects involving the raspberry PI may blow new life into the pocket computer scene. If you know where I can find a pocket computer community on the internet let me know!

Musical complexity is great if well executed. Everything blends together into a big mess of piano sounds. Especially the low tones.
This piece of mine is complex and has lots of counter melodies:

Well I apologise for what I said. Whenever someone does rip a midi file however it sounds very similar to this. Try using some different instruments and less counter meledies because this sounds overcomposed. Less is more :)

I think you ripped a midi file from the internet and used fruityloops studio. I can tell because you simply replaced every channel with a piano sound including the drums.

They recommend you port a game to other platforms after the 48hr deadline, so I think this suggests that you better make a game for linux and then port it to a calculator. You can make it look like it was on a calc though.

The theme is minimalism, so by using a minimalistic platform you might score bonus points. The only problem is that the judges might own TI89 calcs only.

Will it be a calculator game that you submit?
