Music Showcase / Re: Keoni29's (8bit) music topic« on: April 27, 2012, 02:40:11 pm »
I tried to emulate the sound of the Capcom arcade systems. I have never really played arcade games on the real thing, so I don't really know what it sounds like on the real hardware, but I could eventually add some more reverb.

Or number "1" is messing up everything, but that's less likely

Just shift the back buffer and only draw the new line you've shifted in!

Well I use a special link protocol. One I/O line is a clock and the other is a data line. I cannot read data from the arduino yet. It's not a stand alone piece of hardware yet. It's now just an arduino, but once everything runs flawless I will order a custom pcb and an atmega chip. I'm now interfacing a MOS 6581 SID soundchip with it.

I'm now interfacing a SID chip w/ an arduino.

It's cheaper to buy reproduction cardridges

This project hasn't died yet. I managed to send bytes to the arduino. Now I'm gonna send midi notes to a keyboard
![]() Edit: YES!!! My calc can send midi data to a keyboard via arduino! Now let's compose a song for a youtube video ![]() 2005

By the way this greatly reminds me of those NES cartridges that were sold years ago in which you could put a flash card and play NES roms in your real NES, along with other stuff.But... that one costs 120 gold coins. Mine cost about 1 euro and 5 hrs to make (dang wires ![]() 2007

It's the working name of the project. Just thought it was funny since TI makes up these weird names too. I wonder if syncing multiple calcs w/ the usb port is possible or even sending midi data from an arduino to em.

I think I'll be able to make this work with my S-RAM chips too. My ram chips are 1k, but the pinouts are pretty much the same (but it has less adress pins)

(assuming there are any homebrew roms)Yes, there are some cool homebrew games and demo's out there! I just have to build an eprom programmer to be able to burn rom images on it. I will also add some switches to select a game (one out of 16) |
