Other / 128k multi cartridge for A2600
« on: April 16, 2012, 04:18:33 pm »
I built this eprom cart to be able to play rare games on my atari2600. EP-rom stands for erasable programmable rom, so I can burn games onto it :)

Edit: Now with 128k RAM instead of rom! Can hold 16 games!

So we are now able to control the USB port of the TI84+?
I like the idea of interfacing calculators with the outside world as you might have expected. (I have been working on my TI-Nterface for quite a while now)

Does the Android have a lot of space (in the GB's)?
What do you mean by "space"? Ram? Flash?

Axe / Random glitching?
« on: March 29, 2012, 10:59:24 am »
I wonder if this is a known issue within the axe community: When you add some code that cannot affect another code AT ALL the other code starts glitching for no reason. Then you change it back and the glitch remains there. Is this due to memory corruption?

Edit: I'm really starting to panic since I am most likely dealing with corrupted source files. Another version of the executable I found just works fine. I really wonder where my latest source file went. The newest one I found started glitching out of the blue. A lot of my projects died this way: Random glitching :'(

TI-Nspire / Re: Nspire audio?
« on: March 26, 2012, 05:03:02 pm »
only problem is that we have no idea how to interface the USB module on the nspire. The 84+ USB module is well documented, but we know next to nothing about how to work the nspire's.
Well... get a screwdriver and go check it out! It probably has an usb driver chip, so sound trough usb is gonna be close to impossible. IO via the docking port has been done before, so I think you should focus on that.

Interesting, also I envy you for being able to get old consoles to display correctly on an LCD. When I tried my SNES on my LCD TV there were weird horizontal lines everywhere D:
Our tv noms everything!

Atari 2600s seems pretty simple to mod, makes me want to have one. That's pretty cool :D

Also my Nintendo 64 on a flat TV seemed pretty not bad.
Gotta love parallel communication :)

Other / [MOD] Atari 2600 reset/select mod
« on: March 25, 2012, 11:28:55 am »
I modded my atari2600 so that you can use the second joystick as a select and reset switch.

It's a really cheap mod and not very complicated. If you don't want to drill holes in your atari2600 you can just lead the wires out of the back of the console and have an external switch.
I came up with this while playing asteriods. I used an extention cable to be able to play from the couch, but every time I died I had to walk up to the console and reset it. You can turn the mod on and off with a switch, so you can still play with two players, but then the loser has to reset it :-D

Well, Keoni just got an Atari 2600 and he was talking about development for it on Omnom one day, so I'm guessing it's for Atari.
Nope. Too bad atari cannot handle these advanced graphics :P It's for pc. I haven't made an indie game in a while so I decided to make this fun little shooter.
