The orion is very expensive though. If you're going for an external sound device you might want to find something a bit cheaper.

I wired it all up including the buttons. Everything is stuck to the lcd pcb using glue. This way I don't need a pcb (which would increase the size of the watch.)

The size of the components is about 50*50*20mm or 2*2*0.7inch. Now I need to make a nice case!

You mean IDE cables? Those are great. They have a lot of smaller wires in them which are single core. This is super easy to solder and you can put a lot of them in a tiny space. I use them for all of my projects now!
