My soundchip has open source firmware and it is really easy to mod it to use rs232 instead of my link protocol.

Art / Re: Mockups "please say this is going to be a game"« on: November 27, 2013, 06:37:05 am »
I really like those tiles. Making adventure games is a lot of work though. Herocore took me several weeks just to get the engine done. It is already 12k in size excluding the world map. It is easy enough to make any kind of adventure game using this engine as long as it does not use scrolling (because I have not implemented that)

Cool! Good luck with your project. I will add features to the sprite generator when I have some more spare time on my hands.

Rip out the cmos battery and mains and push the power button to make sure there is no power left in the computer. Wait for a bit and then put the battery back and plug the computer back in. Then fire it up and reset the bios defaults.

Building a case for it. Notice the molex connector on the back. It feeds right off the PSU. My cartreader has a built in 5v regulator so it can be powered with a 9v wallwart when it is not in a pc.

I'd buy it if it weren't water based. I want a pen that allows me to patch up traces.

Wow. He made a hex editor by glitching out the game and then he entered machine language using the buttons. This is so awesome!

I took this piece of plastic from an actual atari2600. Normally you'd find the game select switch next to the cartridge slot. I slip the programming cable that is required for my multicartridge trough this hole

I was messing around trying to come up with the best solution to put it all together. Hot glue and a plastic back on metal is not ideal. I have to come up with something that sticks better.
