I got a copy of Romancing Saga 2 (SNES, Japanese) at an anime conference in exchange for showing off a bunch of DK64 glitches at a gaming booth.
I took it apart, and I'm currently debating whether to leave the PCB intact, to salvage it, or to turn it into a flash cart.
Cool that they gave you free games! Flashcarts are cool and stuff, but make sure you have means to program it. I had to build my atari2600 cartreader before I could use my atari2600 backup cartridge and it took me months.

Kinda looks like Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff, which is obviously the best website ever after Omnimaga.
I'd totally use that theme.
HOW can you make this look so JPEG???

I got sonic DX on pc. I have not played it a lot. The story is way too cheesy for me. I like the 2d ones better. In those games the characters don't open their mouths.

My personal email address is in the readme. Please remove that before you decide to release my game on the archives.

With this engine so many visual novels could be made in the future. Assuming the story is not hardcoded...

How about flipping it sideways for a bit higher resolution?

People have used this mode in combination with changing contrast rapidly to generate bluescale That was really bad for calculators.

It only matters when you need to cram a 12k program in 8k or whatever. For such a small basic program tiny optimization is just a waste of time. You need to save bytes on structure of the program. Check if there are smarter ways to get to the same result. That is what's optimization is all about.
