I wound up not going sadly because I woke up late and I was not ready to travel yet, so even if I did decide to go I would only have about 2-3 hours there and for €15 and a 1,5 hour travel that's not worth it to me. Better luck next time.

N4 and S3 are both €350 inc. shipping here in webshops. (about $470)

I just managed to read every single keypress event. The cpu store all key states in registers. That way it knows which keys should not cause a trigger because they are held down. I am now gonna write a simple typing demo I guess?

I recorded some footage using my video capture card. It shows how it reads key input from the c64 keyboard.
The first byte is the column number. The second byte corresponds to the bit of the pressed key.
Example:
Key E is 0x02_40 because it's the 2nd column and it's the 6th key, so 2^6 = 0x40

Np I never use facebook.

I still cannot decide. Both phones are priced the same in my country and specs are realy close. I think both phones have their own unique look and battery life is similar. The only differences are: n4 cannot take sd cards, but the s3 has a lot of samsung apps crap on it while the n4 is vanilla.

What kind of programming language do you use? Do you just need the images or should they be in a specific format?

My pockets are large enough for a n4 or s3. I think I am gonna go with the nexus because of the support by google and the active rom community.
