Thanks guys. Ruler, yes, it saves equations and window settings.

Casio PRIZM / Re: Graph3DP v1.0 Beta 1; Prizm Hacking Continues
« on: September 02, 2012, 07:46:53 pm »
Five months ago, Graph3DP 1.0 Beta 1 was released to the public, showing off some of the features of my 3D graphing Add-In for the Casio Prizm. Today, I am happy to introduce the first release candidate of Graph3DP. Enter one to six 3D equations Z=f(X,Y) in terms of X and Y, adjust the window as need, and spin and zoom the resulting graph! This release candidate includes all of the functions and features of the finished product, including entering multiple equations, graphing, adjusting settings, and even tracing graphs. The underlying equation-parsing system has been overhauled for speed and correctness, and now includes thirteen built-in math functions, from sin() to atan() to sqrt() to ln(). Since the first beta:

:: The equation parser, gCAS2, has been overhauled by AHelper0 to be faster, more accurate, and handle more equation forms.
:: I have made independent changes to gCAS2 to make it more foolproof, support more functions, understand the negative sign, and much more.
:: The 3D rotation subsystem of Graph3DP's custom-built 3D rendering engine has been overhauled to make off-axis rotation possible. Now, when you press the arrow keys to rotate a graph, it will rotate exactly as you would expect.
:: Many issues from the beta have been debugged and solved; many new features have been added, including improved tracing and the ability to quickly toggle which graph(s) are displayed.

As this is a release candidate, I need feedback from you, our faithful Cemetech users. Please test out Graph3DP, put it through its paces, and report any problems, glitches, or useability issues. Please also feel free to mention any positive comments or feedback; once enough users have either reported bugs or given this build a pass, I will be able to publish it as a final 1.0 release.

Based on my experiences with other SoCs, you can do anything you want during an LCD DMA, as the LCD DMA controller is separate from the rest of the memory subsystem and won't prevent any other memory accesses.

LuaZM already has fully-functioning metatables. :) Progress continues at a rapid pace.

Casio PRIZM / [Prizm] Introducing LuaZM
« on: August 17, 2012, 06:04:17 pm »
The Casio Prizm is a powerful calculator, great for both math and playing games. It is particularly great for programming, and for months thoroughly bested the TI-Nspire calculator in offering ASM, BASIC, and C programming. In an attempt to reduce criticism of their apparently anti-student stance, Texas Instruments improved the TI-Nspire to run Lua programs. Lua is a "fast, lightweight, embeddable scripting language," an interpreted procedural language. The language has allowed budding Nspire programmers to quickly write games and programs without needing to use a computer.

I am happy to announce that I am now bringing Lua to the Casio Prizm graphing calculator, in the form of a full-featured Lua interpreter. After days of porting, rewriting parts of libc (including the longjmp/setjmp system), and learning some SH4 assembly, I am proud to present the first screenshot of the interpreter successfully running on a Prizm. Special kudos to Juju for the PrizmIO library, a port of an Nspire I/O library for C programmers. As you can see from the screenshots, this is just the raw interpreter; although it understands Lua syntax and can parse/lex the language, load libraries, and recognize incorrect code, it is almost entirely lacking in functioning libraries. From here, I will be porting over each of the standard libraries, starting with numbers, strings, and I/O. Please feel free to share thoughts and suggestions here or in the original Cemetech thread. Bonus features: Planned transparent support for Nspire and Lua FX programs.

Minecraft Discussion / Re: Minecraft PvP/Survival: Yogiverse & Arcadia

No, griefing is allowed on this server. Since it is a town, though, Arcadian is protected by the Towny plugin against griefing and theft, and as we have recently expanded to 80 16x16 chunks, we have a lot of space for new town members. The server just upgraded to 1.3.1 and decided to go back to the vanilla PvP mechanics, so if you play Minecraft and love to fight, mine, or build, and want to do so with some of the avid builders and redstone engineers of the community, I urge you to pay a visit to Arcadia on the Yogiverse. :)

127
Thanks to FinaleTI, annoyingcalc, and ben_g for joining us! With two more residents, we'll be able to make it to 80 plots (Chunks) of town space, We have some great and massive building projects underway, and residents are busy working on houses and raiding other towns, so if you haven't visited yet and you love Minecraft, you should stop by.

128
I'd like to join. Sounds like fun.
Woot, ping me when you're going to hop on, and I'll add you to Arcadia.

As many of you may know, for close to a year I was an administrator of the Evocat.us PvP Minecraft server. It went away for a while, but I'm happy to say that it's back! If you love survival, PvP, and some healthy slaughter, then the Yogiverse is for you. Members of the calculator community have for years banded together in a town called Arcadia, where we collect loot, build awesome houses, and from where we set out to raid other towns. We would love to have you in Arcadia, so hop on one.yogiverse.com and send a /msg to KermMartian, Pizzabboy, AHelper0, or fibiger2 mentioning that you're from Omnimaga/Cemetech. See you there for PvP/mining/building/raiding/killing fun! (If you can't find any of us on the server, just ping me on #cemetech or post here, and I'll add you).

I must say that I think this is a great step towards bringing back original Omnimaga programs and projects. Best of luck!

I have posted a video of this in action in the latest Cemetech news article, which also teases Graph3DP progress.

Yeah, it is $585 a month for the two of us, but I need to make a security deposit of the same, too. So I need to pay $1170 the first month x.x But yeah, NYC apartment prices would be terrifying D: And if I get the GSoC thing, I can be a programmer over the summer and it will look good on a resume when I apply for other jobs :)
$585 a month for two people? Aaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahaha.
Haha.
Ha.

(Crosspost from Cemetech) The basics of the United-TI Forum are in place! Some of it needs work, still, particularly in the area of avatars, profile linking, and BBCode adjustment (translation?), but the content is all more or less there. Please report (big) bugs to me, but don't bother with the little stuff, like where I've left myself obvious notes or where it says Cemetech instead of United-TI when it shouldn't

News / Re: DDoS attack leads to 16 hours of Omnimaga downtime
« on: April 18, 2012, 03:24:36 pm »
People on #cemetech keep reporting the site being down a lot, is this supposed DDoS still occurring? Perhaps someone is exploiting a glitch in one of the site projects like OmnomicIRC? Cemetech has had no lag or downtime at all, other than the self-inflicted database load yesterday from me importing all the UnitedTI data.

135
It's sad to see United TI going. :(

Nevertheless, I am glad that it will be preserved!  Good luck to Cemetech in the merging process! :)
Many thanks!
