Lately, I've taken a short break from nRPG and CleverCalc to work on a port of Terry Cavanagh's Gravitron (a VVVVVV minigame) to nspire, and I'm quite happy with the result. The speed isn't quite perfect on calc (I'd appreciate if someone could make me a gif), but it does run pretty smoothly. It's especially fun in computer view on the student software, with everything scaled up to full screen. Here's some screenies : NOTE: when I took these, I accidently forgot the top white bar, it exists in the game Controls: Move: 4,6 Pause/Unpause/Restart: Enter Reset Highschore: Ctrl+Delete Note, this only runs on apiLevel>"1.2" (OS 3.2 or higher), and is tested and optimized for OS 3.6 Anyways, school gets out Monday, so I'll have a lot more time to work on my projects then You can download the game below, enjoy!

Also, can it make you lose ? That's an addition you may want to consider, as well as replying to rickrolls.

Can it do math? On extremely special occasions calculators can do math!
Yes, it can in fact do math.

"Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days. Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic." Well, I am sure I want to reply. This is being worked on again! I started over from scratch, because my programming skills have improved a lot since the time that I started this project. Here's a screeny so far: It's already more organized, and more intelligent than the original version ever was. I would expect a release within the next few weeks, so stay tuned! (Yes, I am still working on my RPG and other projects, but I need a lot of projects to keep from getting bored)

Just so you know its also very very slow like really slow. you cant really play because it takes longer to load the more cookies that are being displayed in the background...
Okay, I'll lower the limit of cookies that appear, thanks for the heads up, I'm not sure I ever even tried this on calc

Something i quicky drew and then threw away.
What aeTIos said, do you think you could help me with some of the sprites for my RPG?
Sure, why not. Do you have some graphical ideas, palettes or constraints? I understood that you go for 16*16.
Yup, I need sprites in 16x16 size, .png format. Here are the main things I still need (In order of importance) Houses (Multiple building tiles, see the most recent posts here: http://www.omnimaga.org/pixel-art-and-drawing/rpg-for-nspire-sprites/15/ ) Trees (2x2, 3x2, 3x2 or 3x3, what ever works best for you) Something like the trees from GBC Legend of Zelda, but not exactly the same Chests: Open and closed You can check out the art in the thread I linked ^ for style. Note the dull browns and greens, with a kind of LoZ/Final Fantasy Art. Any contributions would be awesome, thanks!

Don't do it. That means I have to actually finish Continuity one time Just kidding, I would indeed like to have a small overview of completed projects per month. I'd rather not have it be "project of the month", though, because that makes it too competition-y.
Err.. I meant to write "Projects of the Month", plural, not singular

Here's a more descriptive list of what I need for buildings. (In both wood and stone): Plain block, Arch (left), Arch (right), Slant (Left), Slant (Right), Slant (center), top of door, bottom of door, window, roof tiles (for wooden buildings only), crenelations (for stone buildings only). I'd also like a gate that could fit with an archway.

Tiles are 16x16, my thought for houses was to have different building tiles (wood, stone, arch, top of door, bottom of door, roof tiles etc)

*Bump* I'm still looking desperately for tree and house sprites. I would copy some from the internet but I haven't found an images that were a good pixel scale, and also large enough for me to copy. Remember, 16x16 tiles, .png. Thanks.

Personally I would recommend lua for a beginner programmer, as it is probably easier to learn. In addition, you can program lua directly on your calculator, which will allow you to practice and learn from school and at home. (See JSE http://www.omnimaga.org/ti-nspire-projects/jens%27-script-editor-an-on-calc-lua-editor/?topicseen) Running lua files on the nspire is incredible simple. Just load the .tns document to your calculator open it, and voila! To access the script editor on the student software, click insert>script editor>insert script. Here are a couple of great places to go if you want to start learning lua: - http://www.compasstech.com.au/TNS_Authoring/Scripting/index.html- http://inspired-lua.orgIf you have any questions, ask me or some of the more experienced lua programmers in the community. If you would rather start with C (Ndless), I don't have a lot of advice or experience, but you can start with this introductory tutorial: - http://ndlessly.wordpress.com/native-development-intro/Good luck, and I hope to see some great projects from you!

So nice to see that you are working on this! I like the idea of custom styles, but the controls for it are a bit awkward right now. I'm even more excited about the use of errorhandler to prevent crashing. Great work and I look forward to the next release! Also, could you add more to the standard libs in your API Reference Guide on calc? I had not being able to check the string and math libraries on calc.
