You could add equations, like linear and quadratic equations.

Yes, you have an E, which is safe and is not locked down. (One of my Nspires is E, and I have Ndless and nLaunchy on it).
The 3.2.4 and 3.6 OS's were found hidden on TI's website. I don't know why it still gives normal users version 3.2.3. Never install 3.2.4, since it's completely locked down. And don't install 3.6 without using nLaunchy 2.3. Here's some news items about these locked down OS versions and hardware revisions: http://ourl.ca/19743 http://ourl.ca/19500 http://ourl.ca/19073 213

But they'll send you a K (or higher?) revision calculator.

TI-Nspire / Re: A viewer of PDF« on: November 14, 2013, 11:19:46 pm »Somes librairies like zlib are used in several ndless programs, and then included in the file each time. It could be good to add the possibility to have files like DLL. There is bFLT shared library support in ndless (I saw the functions in the source code), but I just don't know how to make a shared library. Lionel, I'll see if I can use the zlib in the OS later. It's not really a priority, since zlib is very tiny. 215

Don't use nLaunch CX. nLaunchy (https://github.com/Excale/nLaunchy) is an actively developed fork of nLaunch CX.

That's pretty easy to do. This is just a program showing that the library actually works.

There is no PDF viewer yet. I am making one using the MuPDF library. You can see an animated screenshot at the end of the thread blue_bear_94 linked to demonstrating a program that renders the first page of a PDF to a PNG file.

Install 3.1, which is the best since it gives you Ndless.

Yes, MuPDF is good enough for most PDF's, as long as you don't have things like forms (you need V8 for that) or videos, but I don't think anyone would view such PDF documents on a calculator. It also supports xps and cbz. While I'm making the viewer (I haven't had much time these days), here's a screenshot of a program that renders the first page of a pdf to a png file. Later, I open it with mViewer.
The lag at the beginning is ndless loading it (it's a big file). Apparently, ndless tries to load it as a legacy executable before trying bFLT. It can easily be modified to check the header of the file before attempting to load it. I can also make some big fonts optional to reduce the size. By the way, MuPDF depends on some other libraries which I ported (zlib, jbig2dec, openjpeg, libjpeg, freetype) which were very easy to port. 221

You can downgrade from 3.2.3.1233 to 3.1. Just send the 3.1 as a regular OS upgrade. Never install anything above 3.2.3.1233 until it's possible to downgrade (it may take a long time for this to be possible).

One suggestion: integrate the file browser from Critor's applications (like mySpire, mViewer, etc.)
This should be very easy to do. |
