I have the same problem, so I just use google chrome and it automatically asks me if i want all the french translated to english.
But the layout is in english, right ? The user posts aren't automaticly translated if that's the initial question ... only the stuff we can translate is translated by hand to ensure accurate content. Sense the generator (which is a program in itself isn't it?) seems done, what constant battle could there be?
The generator is not accurate if you want to convert more than 6 pages of PDF, that is what we are currently trying to solve, this is our constant fight. It would be nice if they made this generator (program) downloadable so we wouldn't need an internet connection.
Having an online tool is good for multiple reason : - Always the latest version
- Ensure portability without any effort
- Skip dependency problems

Bump. I'm also trying this on Linux. The computer I am using is terminal only. I installed the Ubuntu 1.16 package but got an error about an invalid linked list. I'm trying to build it from source now, but am stuck on building libticables. Configure fails because libusb was not found yet apt tells me I have it already.
Install all *-dev package of what it doesn't find. It's a common rule when you are compiling stuff, you need *-dev packages. Also, not sure about the fact that a "terminal only" linux will accept tilp anyway since it has a gtk gui.
The computer is actually a server without a monitor, keyboard, or mouse, so I connect to it with ssh.
And may I know why you're connecting your nspire to that server you access via ssh ?

O.K. folks...This is probably the WORST experience I've had on a calculator site.
I went to TI planet and changed my default language to British English...The site is still all in French. Is this the way it's supposed to work?
Thanks for the compliment. What do you expect to change from a French forum when you switch language ? Do you really expect all the content to change ? Even the people messages ? Only most important news on TI-Planet are translated in English because its an additional work beside the original French news. Also, all the layout of TI-Planet is using PHPBB language system, so the entire layout is translated when switching language. Last but not least, the custom pages are also translated by hand, and mViewer GX is one of them. I've just changed my settings and everything works as expected, so show me a screenshot of what you call "the site is still all in French". PS : Yes, I'm mad to hear such false criticism. Also, your message may be inappropriate according to Omnimaga rules "Our goal is to provide a discussion environment free from hostility" : http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=2edit: This seems to be an online program only. Its not "an online program only", its an online generator (the G in mViewer GX) that gives you the opportunity to """view""" PDF or images on you calculator (just to remind you some principles or what is the goal of a calculator). You don't imagine the constant fight we are having in order to make mViewer GX generate reliable files in term of memory usage due to that silly TI code. Please considerate and understand our choices (and pain). Thanks.

Read again the above posts, you missed something obvious. Bonus fact : mViewer GX does not generate .png.tns

to reduce risks of having to reformat after an Ndless program crash.
Dawat ? When Ndless crashes a simple reboot is needed. I never heard of an Ndless program that forces you to reformat when it crashes... When I used my TI-Nspire on a regular basis to play games, I had to reformat it at least once a month.
No need to reformat for that, even if I dont get how you manage to make it crash so often ... Next time, just launch the diagnostic software and reset (it auto-fixes itself). Life saver.

Does ANYONE here know how to help us in this request? Is it worth it to downgrade to 3.2.4 IF we have 3.6.0?
But you can't downgrade to 3.2.4 either since 3.6 sets minimal version to its own. My cable for rs232 came today from here https://core-electronics.com.au/store/index.php/usb-to-ttl-serial-uart-rs232-adaptor-pl2303hx.html
However i can't plug it into the nspire- there are black covers at the top of the wires preventing me from doing so.
Anyone able to help me?
What is preventing you from removing them ?

I would like it in both C and LuaZM, don't know how hard that would be.
As f**ing hard as porting SDL in both C and Lua, and this, just for you ? IMHO of course. Feel free to downgrade this post, but I hate the way "can't wait a PRIZM version" and "I want it in both C and LuaZM" are formulated, so demanding ...

without the ti nspire student software installed?.
You know about TI Nspire Computer Link Software, right ? Hyperterminal [...] ti nspire student software
Both are unrelated. The drivers tincs installs are for usb to usb connections. Hyperterminal is used for boot2 transfers using a ttl to usb converter. Thus you need the converter drivers if it requires some, not the nspire ones.

Your exact terms were "If it doesn't stop I will suicide".
I can't find this quote (or anything else meaning the exact same thing) in my posts above
Google Translate fail, I think.
It was in the spam you posted on TI-Planet, just before you posted here. BTW, I don't use Google Translate since couple years now, I'm fine with english.

Thanks for your input but I've never done this before & don't feel like bricking this calculator!
Sorry but I'll pass for now until I find someone physically to help me.
I know it can be scary to hear ... even if I don't feel the warnings are appropriate here. I never removed the battery when doing stuff on the docking port, the worst thing I experimented when shortcutting pins was ... a reboot. My setup, without soldering, I use a piece of plastic to maintain the whole : https://tiplanet.org/forum/gallery/image_page.php?album_id=4&image_id=188

It's a bit slower on calc than on the emulator, I suspect it's the touchpad polling every frame, but if that get's a real issue, I'll take care of that. If you want to use nGL, grab gl.cpp, gl.h, fastmath.h, fastmath.cpp, fix.h and don't forget to read gl.h and #define SAFE_MODE in gl.h!
I notived that on my nAk3d project (dropped down due to your way better GL implementation ). This is indeed due to pooling, touchpad or keypad, both are time critical for something running on 30fps. For example, my first attempts ran on emulator at 200fps, but only 16 fps on calc. I removed keypad pooling and it then raised to 120fps. notice : This problem is not visible on emulator due to not emulating mapped memory access delays. I then managed to create a keypad pooling without using an interruption handler. It uses the ndless code of sleep.c that setup an arm co-processor to wakeup the arm processor when a certain time has arrived. This let me cleverly set my keypad pooling without spamming at each frame.

I don't want to commit suicide.
I know, but then, don't put that in a public post in order to give importance to the message you want to be read. Your exact terms were "If it doesn't stop I will suicide". This can't lead to serious talks... The thing is, that person was telling you "it's not X, it's Y because Z", nothing wrong there, and then you answered on a way more extreme position than it should have been ... And then, here, you're writting a requiem for what you've done since 12 years, this has nothing to do with the initial problem. Maybe there is something you want to express you can't ? Btw, for others, I'm not involved in this, and it has nothing about parterships, it has just been pubicly posted (and then moderated) on TI-Planet (IIRC on Omni & Cemetech too ?) serveral hours ago.

The problem here is that DJO exploded once again. He sees pejorative remarks whenever he is getting contradicted. If this occurs too many times in a row, he feels guilty and wants to show the rest of the world he will suicide because he thinks everything he does doesn't deserve critisism, even if he knows he's not perfect.
That said, i'm pretty sure its a way of mind bareer : you're looking the world in a positive vector, and "bad" things are zero vectors. Others see the world as a relative vector of exactitude : said bad things have to be reviewed, every single badly placed comma need to be announced.
Thus, the first kind of ppl feels stopped when receiving too many remarks in a row because they're not used to not push forward. On the other hand, the 2nd kind of ppl don't see any problem in correcting false statement, even if they recieve those, because they're used to live in a relative world, both positive and negative.
DJ, take that in consideration : both those ppl are needed to grow a perfect world. If positive guys didn't exist, we would'nt grow. If relative guys never existed, the world would look like a non-sense where every mistakes is not said, where everything you do, even if its bad, receive compliments. You are the complete opposite of the person you don't want to mention, remember that, this is not about him being perfect and you being piece of crap, no !

But will the user have to modify his program to run on the new Ndless? That would be the problem, since many authors who wrote Ndless 3.1 programs are now gone since long ago and will not have any interest in updating their programs. Even if the required changes were minimal, this would still be a problem for abandoned games and softwares. But of course, if Ndless 3.2 or whatever do perfectly run unmodified 3.1 programs, then we're safe I guess.
If you remember correctly, when Ndless 3.1 came out, you didnt need to recompile the programs, otherwise it was because you used custom syscalls
