Is it possible to run the Nspire CX CAS OS on the CX? If so can you please send me instructions on how to do it?
No.
If you're interested in why, there are plenty of places where this question has already been asked.

Hmm, you would need ndless for that.
Ndless and hard reverse engineering...
BTW, the flag key is used by every non-english users in order to input accents.

a key hook could be installed with Ndless?

Yep.
I think Escape or Tab key would be nice to initiate the cursor.
I was derping around but did not found (or did not manage to use) obvious places that display the cursor.

Iirc it is/was hard-coded into a rom so it can't be legally shared.
I understand now. Since I had the binaries ...

EDIT: ...in nspire_emu in VirtualBox
uh ?
If I correctly understood your remark, here is mine :  nspire_emu works fine under Wine.
And BTW, in order to pull something more related to the topic : Didn't this project already existed in the past or am I missing something ?

Same for 68k:

Calculator C / Re: [RELEASE][WIN] Nspire's C Little Magic compiler
« on: March 14, 2013, 05:40:29 pm »
Hi,

Sorry to be so unpleasant, but what is the goal of such a program to replace the F7 key on the Ndless SDK if you still have to get the other depedencies ?
And by the way, Ndless SDK does not require a custom installation of MinGW nor yagorto. Everything is linked now.

News / Re: Turn your Nspire into a real clock!
« on: March 10, 2013, 07:32:16 pm »
I cant edit the time, when i try to edit it the calculator crashes.

Hi,

Did you update your Ndless to a revision greater than the one indicated in the README ?

BTW, here is a message for everybody : nClock has some problems with daytime conversions, I'm aware of it but sadly have no time to solve it.
Basically there are three conversions, one is accurate (timestamp to day) but the two others are not (guessing weekday and day to timestamp) due to a float approximation : this is why you may enter two more days when configuring the time and may have a wrong weekday. Sorry about that..

Lua / Re: Updating WZGUILib
« on: March 10, 2013, 12:03:40 am »
Yeah I know. I just thought it was best to decrease it to 1.0, since screenshots aren't blurry that way :P
Oh, yeah, that's for sure. Sometimes it even displays differently with a bigger zoom : TI's logic..

On an off-topic note, why are your screenshots 480x360 instead of 320x240? ???
TI-Nspire Computer Software with zoom enable by factor 1.5 ? (right-bottom corner of the UI)

Make it clear for everyone : You don't need to remove the OS in order to downgrade from 3.2 to 3.1 It makes much more useless steps for beginners.
Just download OS 3.1 from the list here for your calculator (pay attention to the Nspire type - Clickpad, TouchPad, CX, non CAS, CAS, CM, etc ..) :
https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_list.php?id=OS+Nspire

Open TI-Nspire Computer [Link/Student/Teacher/Navigator] Software or TiLP and send the OS as if is was a basic .tns file.
The software will recongnize it as an OS and install it automatically.

General Calculator Help / Re: My nspire cx touchpad won't respond
« on: March 03, 2013, 06:53:56 pm »
Hi,

If the Diags says your TouchPad is dead, then your touchpad is dead.

Sorry man.

PS : I've also been experimenting the reset from the short-circuits in the dock connector, but never had bad behavior.

News / Re: A theme editor coming for Ndless 3.1
« on: February 27, 2013, 10:08:40 pm »
Hi! I just registered to ask a question: I'm using version 3.1.0.392 of the TI-Nspire CX OS (should be the right one) and ndless revision 685. When I try to load ThemeEditor.tns, the calculator just crashes and reboots, and no "Theme Editor" option appears in the settings menu.
That's strange... r685 is indeed the lastest public revision.

Quote
Placing the ThemeEditor.tns file in the startup folder and rebooting does not load the program either.
Uh ? It doesn't crash and reboot-loop then if it is in the startup folder ? strange again ...

Other / Re: That's impossible ! (well, not really)
« on: February 22, 2013, 01:58:20 am »
If they did it like they explain, it would have taken over 285388 years (for the 3:18 vid) at 22fps (a PAL movie is 25 fps). Let alone the timing precision required which is probably unreachable.

Well, as they said it, no :
