TI-Nspire / Re: [Lua] Gravity guy
« on: February 21, 2013, 10:54:46 am »
There is no error message when the Lua script is too big (Beside there is one for too large images in the script).
The behavior is to leave the page blank without error and if you resave the document you will lose the script.
This happens more often on ClickPad and TouchPad since the RAM is lower than the CX.

3.1 CAS touchpad. When I close the document (automatically when I open another document) and reopen it later, it doesn't work anymore. By that I mean the document gets opened, but the Lua page is just blank.
Are you trying to open a Lua script that has a consequent size (like hundreds of KB) ?
Do you have ClickPad or TouchPad Nspire ?

If so, it is an OS bug. Literally : not enough RAM.

is there a ndless program to update the OS (and therefore ndless)?
Why do you want to update your Nspire OS ?
Only 3.1.0 is compatible with Ndless 3.1 because other OSes don't have the same flaws.

General Calculator Help / Re: Installing CAS on TI-Nspire CX Non-CAS
« on: February 13, 2013, 05:41:21 pm »
So, can I be pointed into the direction of some tutorial or will you guys help me solve my delema?  I bought the non CAS nspire CX for ACT and SAT and now that that's over with, I would like that OS on my non CAS calculator without spending another $140.
If you read my previous post (the one above your), you'll understand that you can't install nLaunch on a CX calculator.
Things can't be done in only one week, surely not so much.

or is this only a restriction of the transfer software?
Transfer software restriction, deeply coded in the navnet driver.

Lua / Re: Rotating an Image with LUA
« on: February 09, 2013, 08:57:48 am »
More explanation please?
Ndless 3.1 has a feature, named Ndless Lua extensions, that enables anyone having the .luax file in the ext directory of Ndless to enhance Lua modules.
Extensions files (*.luax) are C compiled modules that uses the OS Lua API.
Since Ndless runs only on 3.1 for now, this means your script won't run on 3.2
As said Lionel, no real extension were written so far, so no extension were written to rotate a TI-Image.

Does the dock have USB and charging contacts?
These are not printed, and as he said in a previous post, the dock circuit board (at least the correct dimensions) still remain to do.
According to the TI-Nspire Charging bays, it is possible to charge it via the dock.

General Calculator Help / Re: How to run programs on Ti-nspire?
« on: February 08, 2013, 07:31:09 am »
does it matter CAS vs CX CAS?
The CX has a color screen. The Touchpad has a grayscale screen. I don't think it will be sane to run.
Also, CX OSes are RSA 2048 signed, versus Touchpad&Clickpad OSes that use RSA 1024.
Finally, CX and Clickpad&Touchpad use different memory chips & stuff, not really a good idea to run a CX OS on a non CX one.

Ndless / Re: Ndless suggestions thread
« on: February 07, 2013, 08:44:26 pm »
Integrating Ndless with the OS tasks management would be rather difficult.
But being able to suspend the current program execution and restore it would be possible. Maybe I could expose an API for this?
It would be really cool if there was a Windows-like desktop for Ndless, that would just bypass the Nspire OS's UI.

You mean ... stuff like this ?

As you can fairly see, its possible, just still in development.
Everything works using Ndless and syscalls to OS API. This means you can actually take screenshot from TI-Nspire Computer Link Software of a Ndless program. You also can receive document while you were in the app.

A dock for nClock, obviously

General Calculator Help / Re: Installing CAS on TI-Nspire CX Non-CAS
« on: February 05, 2013, 05:46:55 pm »
Nope I think but there was recently a discussion about this and why this is not going to be made very public (legal reasons): http://ourl.ca/14645/275121;topicseen#new
I don't see why this is any different from installing the CAS OS on a non-CX calculator.
nLauncher uses a flaw in boot2 1.4 which cannot be ran on the TI-Nspire CX.

offline ?
It says "online" but even the map (http://hell-craft.net16.net/?page_id=60) doesn't work
The server is online but due to a power outage we are having some problems with port fowarding and that's why you cannot see the map and it looks like it is offline.
Yeah, yesterday it worked well, I was just trying to use hell-craft.net16.net instead of  hell-craft.no-ip.org

But today I have "failed to connect : timout"

Edit : oh, http://hell-craft.no-ip.org doesn't work x(
