It's not easy to find on google and it is really hard if you just type in "ti nspire os 1.1"
A clue : the "link" is on a famous forum and in a famous thread. If you followed the action, it is not either on Omnimaga, nor on TI-bank. Where does it still can be ? it is easy, but google is not your friend on this play no more clues for now :p

OK. I haven't had any trouble turning it on except that I need to hit the on button twice to get it to start.
You can just wait, pressing twice ON is not necessary. Ndless "loads" (not exactly but it is this mind) when you press ON, and it take a few time.

- 1.4 is needed to install OS 2.0
I don't think this is true. I have 1.3 and I have successfully sent OS 2.0 several times to several different Nspires (all non CAS)
Ok, if you say so, I made a mistake. Thus, for me, 1.4 is useless ?

Really? Strange, I never had this happen.
the entire mistery of Windows :p That why I said that it depend of a lot of parameters... But what I meant is that 1.4 was designed to be compatible with Win7, while 1.3 wasn't. That's all I'm saying. Don't imply 1.3 was made to be compatible with Windows 7. I don't even know if Windows 7 was even out when 1.3 came out anyway.
Ok, we are on the same way now. - 1.3 works with Win7 64 bits, and is needed to isntall Ndless v1.0. - 1.4 is needed to install OS 2.0- We can install 1.4 in an other directory, both version will works. - On the other hand, 1.3 is not designed for Win7 whereas 1.4 is. - For my personal use, I saw that 1.4 is full of bugs with Win7 64 bits (connection lost, freeze...)

1.3 is not compatible with 7 64 bits. There's that workaround about drivers, but just that shouldn't even be supposed to happen at all if it was really compatible. Not to mention under windows 7, Computer Link Software 1.3 freezes when exiting (have to shut it down using CTRL+ALT+DEL)
Thus, 1.4 is not compatible Win7 also. I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del all the time even if I re-install it with the 1.3 uninstalled... I can trust that 1.4 is designed for Win7, but not that 1.3 doesn't work better than 1.4 :p (It depends of a lot a parameters...)

If you got 1.4, uninstall it completly then install the above. Do not plug your calc until 1.3 is installed completly.
Not necessary. You can install both version on the same computer in two seperate directories, it works perfectly (same for TI Nspire Computer Software 1.7 and 2.0) Also, if you use Windows 7 you will need to do this to get 1.3 to run on it (1.3 wasn't compatible with Windows 7): http://ourl.ca/4200/77438
1.3 is compatible Windows 7 64 bits. You just have to get the Vista Driver and Install it as administrator. more details (french) : http://tibank.forumactif.com/problemes-divers-f9/windows-7-64bits-et-nspire-t4830.htmIf this is not the problem you have, then I'm not sure what is it.
Well, I think his probelm was mine when I tried to install Ndless (on Win7). Ndless need to install OS 1.1 in every case, either the OS 1.1 is installed or not. If you have the *.tnc or *.tno 1.1 OS file, you need to put it in [Ndless_dir]/userfiles directory (create if not any), and rename this file to "tinspire_1.1.tno" (*.tnc also, rename it to *.tno). Then, Ndless will get this file instead of trying download it from TI-bank. It will install OS 1.1 one more time.

Hi, I read all the lessons an I'm really eager ! This is awesome man Thus... now THE question that I think everybody wants to get an answer Lesson 4 Page 7 : By the way, H and L can be used as a pair. Since H = 0 and L = 6, HL = 06, meaning HL = 6. For the time being, don’t take this and run with it: if H = 1 and L = 7, HL DOES NOT equal 17. What is HL egual ?

Hmmm...now that we have C support it should be fairly easy to write a 3D grapher. Someone really needs to find/write some I/O functions, since a grapher would not be very useful without a way to enter the function.
True But... we were 4 active forums, They are only one (omnimaga) and a half (TI-Bank) and a little piece (UTI) today I think. Nspire Yaronet section is "dead" for 3 weeks (thus, no news about Ndless2) Either all developpers (in general) are "dead", or all that developpers are creating awesome stuff without saying it to the community. Who cares ?

Do you mean that even the ones with the first version of the boot2 code have a boot2.img in the upgrade files?
Wow, sorry for confusing, I understand what you told now ! Ignore my post, I was just talking about OSes files >1.4 :p *Levak is taking a level 1 english training book*

If you are talking about the older versions of the OS, then this is normal, since TI didn't update the boot2 code.
No. You're not on the right way. :p All OS from TI have the boot2.img upgrade. But "we" removed them with a script that make the OS lighter. This has two good things : - the OSes files are lighter and easier to transport up to 50% size left - It make many space into the handheld unit, up to 3Mo more info (french) http://tibank.forumactif.com/programmation-f21/epurer-un-fichier-de-maj-d-os-du-boot2-t5332.htm

Mhmm strange I swear I did try the button in 1.1 and lost nothing. I wonder if you need to hold it for a specific amount of time?
Me too. On the OS 1.6 CAS when I tried the first 3D function viewer (not mine, the other one), it crashed and I pressed the reset button (I was a noob, don't care about it :p). When it turned ON, I lost the 3D viewer file, not all my stuff. I think it only erase the RAM.

Well, I think it could be a very attractive idea. I tried to learn ASM with a BIG french pdf tutorial (which I didn't finished yet) traduced from an english one. It was only for 8x86 ASM and was very well written. Thus I'am interested in your contribution. On the other hand, on which "architecture" will you be based to write this ASM tutorial ? z80/68k/ARM ?
ARM, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaze !

Attached is a CAS-compatible demo
Thank you for this, but... it doesn't works. the file make the nspire reboot just after a key enter (instead of the non CAS file which bugs just after loading)
